For a 3 star hotel, I was amazed. The rooms were large & spacious. Lots of cupboard space. Comfortable bed & pillows. Lovely clean linen & towels. Suficient toiletries. Tea , coffee.Truely good value for money.

Bad

The bed sheets were not clean. Noise outside at night. Hotel very old indeed.I regret the money I have spent in a very low profile hotel.Maybe I expected more than they can offer for R750. Cleanliness has to improve drastically.
But the staff was friendly and shower was good.

Historic hotel with modern interior.

Beautiful 19th century hotel bought up to date for comfortable stay.
Security is a problem in South Africa ,security at this hotel is 1st rate.
Staff were very helpful, ensuring our visit both to the hotel and the town of Ladysmith was enjoyable.

An Old Hotel

They gave me the WiFi code but only for a single device. I needed a pin plug as an adapter. Once again they provided me with just one. I just felt like they were being unnecessarily tight.
There is a bar. The bartender was very nice. I can't promise he'll be there when you are but...

Little bit of history

A old town called Ladysmith will always have that one hotel that is the center of every thing going on in the town from start to present.
Staff are awesome and food is great .Listen to the chats and history nuts will enjoy that much more
