Good hotel with a great view

Riverview is a simple hotel with comfortable rooms, soft and comfy beds and - above all - a great view on the Crocodile River. We spent hours on the deck just watching the animals pass by. Breakfast is simple but abundant, as is dinner. An excellent and affordable place to stay close to the Kruger.

Really nice

Really nice and helpful staff.
Everything was great - from arrival to departure. Nice breakfast and dinner with a really nice view over the river. The pool is quite nice with the Kruger Park view and the park is safe and protected.
Calm and safe - ideal for a couple getaway.

Good choice to rest a weary head

What a lovely little hotel on the banks of the Crocodile River.
Neat, fastidiously clean, comfortable beds and a lovely bathroom.
A good place to rest after being in Mozambique for 10 days.
An added bonus - falling asleep to hippos cavorting just outside your window.

Amazing view & staff very good.

Location Location Location! The views from here are amazing & there is hippos that live in the river there that you can see all day long. Service was very good from the staff. Food wasn't the greatest but there is other restaurants you can go to for food. They serve breakfast lunch & dinner if you don't want to go anywhere.

On the doorstep of the Kruger

Right on the Crocodile river, about 15mins currently with road works on Malelane road , to Malelane gate of the Kruger park
After Google maps took us on a wild goose chase we eventually got video called by Sindile who guided us to the Inn
Stayed in room 12 , upstairs with great views of the river and sunset
There is a viewing deck by the pool and restaurant area. We managed to see elephants, giraffe, impala, water buck, bush buck and a massive hippo fight between 2 males
The rooms were big as well as the bathroom. There is a TV but limited channels, no DStv. Has a bar fridge and we were given 2 bottles of water each day
We ate at the restaurant 1 evening, a very basic menu. Had 3 options, was tasty and a decent portion and got good service from Pezi
Secure off-road parking. To get upstairs there are wooden stairs
Will definitely stay here again, as it was reasonable and close enough to Malelane gate

Quiet time from 20:00 till 07:00 for the comfort of all guests Absolutely no parties, or behaviour that inhibits the freedom and peace of other guests and staff, allowed. We have a zero tolerance for drunk and disorderly conduct that interferes with the peace of mind of other guests and staff. The peace of mind, safety and comfort of all our guests is a zero sum game. Be very quiet, no flash photography, sharp lights or spotlights when the large animals like elephants or Hippos are next to the deck. These animals are wild and unpredictable when startled or annoyed. It is a deadly hazard to be taken seriously. Parking is free, secure and undercover No pets of any kind allowed There are no bbq (braai) facilities, it is not self catering. It is a Hotel with a restaurant. Other food options are in town and nearby. Very strictly no persons under 13 and no more than two persons per room. Due to third party liability and insurance issues. (proof of age required, if there are any doubts)
