Quiet off grid location with lots to do.

Quiet back woods location with lots of outdoor activities to while away the time.
There is a large wood fired hot tub, canoes and water skiing.
A good restaurant and bar, and lots of outdoor patio eating places
When the sun goes down there are some great dark skies star spotting opportunities as well. Worth a few days of anyone’s time.

Awesome!

What a great spot.
We went for a birthday Sunday lunch on the deck. The vibe in the restaurant is unlike any other. This is truly a unique experience.
Excellent service and food while enjoying the amazing view.
Loads of activities on offer.

A hidden gem.

Discovered a very well kept secret in the Overberg area. Just spent a weekend on the banks of the Palmiet River at Elgin River Lodge. Stunning views, very friendly staff, good food and a very reasonably priced winter special made it a weekend to remember. Wonderful for people who enjoy the outdoors and watersports. Will definitely be returning.

A hidden gem!

I was apprehensive about this trip however the experience is as advertised! The staff are amazing and the venue relaxing. It should be noted that the accomodation and facilities would not be easily accessible for those with mobility issues, rooms have steep stairs and narrow inclines. The elderly may also find it difficult to move around on the property. The access road is tricky if you have a vehicle which does not have 4 x 4 capabilities. Try to arrive in daylight as getting there in the dark might be challenging if you do not know the road. Once on the property it is best to not plan to go anywhere-the restaurant meals are delicious and reasonably priced. Backup for power outages does not extend to the rooms. This is good venue for family gatherings with children.

A setting for all reasons and seasons!

The setting is absolutely breathtaking! Warm atmosphere! Lots of leisure activities. A space for all reasons and seasons! Helpful and accommodating staff! God food and lovely local wines! Hiking trails and beautiful views!
