Best place to stay

I will recommend this establishment to anyone. For business or for pleasure. Great service and friendly staff. You can relax in the pool on a hot day. It is close to all shops for food and snacks. The rooms is tastefully decorated.

Wont see me back

Stayed over one night in this beautiful, artistically decorated house but wont return due to the people running the place. Inter alia, Its good customer service to enquire how i like my egg cooked and whether i eat mushrooms at all, rather than it just presented, take it or leave it. After breakfast you get the message that its time for you to go. The place a gem but staff not people persons, which is disappointing.

Good day,
Thank you for your review, this is so sad to hear about the people we trust to run our little Guesthouse, We will definitely look into this matter asap.
We can only take this review as a positive feedback and will really have a look into this.

Weird atmosphere, though beautiful boutique style

Upon arrival we were thrilled to see the lovely boutique style decor just as advertised. The place is very, very beautiful! When you arrive to a closed up place like we did, call the number on the garage door to be let in.
However, there was a change of ownership recently and the new owner struggled in creating the warm, familiar atmosphere you usually experience in privately run places like this one. We felt like unwanted intruders, not like guests, being suspiciously eyed and observed. Every word of necessary communication felt forced. Such a pity for a beautiful place like that!

Nice visit!

We had a good one night stay in this perfectly decorated guest house. The room looked great and throughout the house you could find lots of art, which we really loved. It was a lot of fun to just take a look around the house, because there were just so many great items. The owner is very friendly and let us use everything in her kitchen to put together our own braai, which was very nice. One remark that is not in the owners' circle of influence, but very annoying: the dog across the street just kept on barking until late at night and very early in the morning...
Overall, great stay!

Good place to connect Northwest/Northeast

We stayed for 1 night in two double bedrooms. From the road the place looks a bit strange but inside its, well, inzeresting. You gotta like the gallery atmosphere - we did! Lots of artefacts and rooms well decorated, walls and lounge and breakfast rooms used for art. Or as the owner said:"My wife ist the arty one!" Lovely breakfast by the staff, great coffee, fruit/muesli/yoghurt and eggs choice. The rooms have a fridge and coffee/tea facilities and there is mosquito repellent supplied in the bath. Only thing I couldn't find anywhere in the kitchen was a bottle opener and cork screw. Great if you connect from Northwest to Northeast - we came from Madikwe Game Reserve and went on to Hoedspruit next to Kruger National. Unfortunately couldn't make use of the hot springs in Bela Bela. Lots of people come to town for a weekend break so then it gets really full.
