Lovely Hotel with Exceptional Service
The one thing that really stood out to us was the cleanliness of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff. We arrived in the late morning and were warmly welcomed with a cold towel, a drink of our choice, and, much to our delight, our room was already ready well before the official check-in time. Our bags were taken up to the room for us, which was a lovely touch.
We were on the 6th floor and had a modern, bright and spacious room.
Location-wise, it’s excellent. It’s just a few minutes’ walk to the Fañabé strip, with lots of great restaurants, and a short stroll down to the marina for boat trips, water sports and more.
We stayed as Star Prestige guests, and the breakfast buffet had a really good range of food. We never had any trouble finding a table and the whole breakfast experience was relaxed and enjoyable.
☀️ Sunbeds: Booking through the app was really easy, but this did seem to be communicated inconsistently. I saw a couple of people being asked to leave their sunbeds because they hadn’t reserved them, and they genuinely didn’t seem to know that reservations were required. I felt the way this was handled was a little insensitive, especially as it appeared they hadn’t been made aware of the system.
Entertainment: We really enjoyed the hotel entertainment, but the South African group were definitely my highlight — absolutely amazing singers!
❤️ My personal highlight was the nightly turndown service. I absolutely loved coming back to the room in the evening to find the bed freshly made, curtains drawn and a little chocolate waiting on the pillow. Such a lovely little luxury and something I really appreciated.
If I had to pick one negative, it would be the room doors. They swing shut very loudly, and unfortunately we could hear doors banging at all hours, which was sometimes disruptive.
Overall, though, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider returning. A lovely, clean hotel with fantastic staff, a great location and some really nice touches that made the stay feel special. ☀️

A wonderful experience as a first time solo traveller!
Clean and fresh looking hotel and nice choice of buffet meals. Loved eating by the pool snack bar and drinking the delicious cocktails made by staff. Will possibly try all inclusive next time!

Is it just me?
Kudos where they are due, the staff are absolutely lovely and the hotel is in a good location. But here are the pros and cons I noticed during my stay;
PROS
- Fantastic customer facing staff
- Good location
- Good WiFi range
- Good hotel layout
- Some food is cooked fresh in front of you
- Sunbed booking and plenty free ones if you don't book
CONS
- My room was not cleaned properly throughout my entire stay. Dust and mess on the floor that had been there since night 1, toilet not cleaned at all through my stay and bedsheets not changed for 3 days.
- My room had 2 single beds as opposed to a double. As an adult only hotel, which adult would be comfortable sleeping in a single bed? No room at all to stretch out in bed so I suffered back pain.
- This hotel has no atmosphere. I came for a relaxing holiday but the whole vibe of the hotel is like a morgue. A bit of music or entertainment wouldn't go a miss. I also heard other guests complaining about the same.
- All inclusive does not mean all inclusive. There are certain bars and food stops that you cannot use as an AI guest. Also, some of the drinks on the menu are at an additional charge despite being AI. Beware of this as they store your card on arrival.
- The restaurant food was okay but lacked flavour. Most dishes were dry or bland unless you go for whatever they are cooking live on the day. I would rate the food 5/10 at best so I'm not sure about the rest of the raving reviews on this topic.
- Birthday guests/special occasion treatment was below par. I emailed weeks prior to advise I was visiting the hotel for a milestone occasion to see if they would offer any incentive to mark the day. A bottle of cava was left in my room with a generic printed out note. That was it. Considering the cava was the same bottle they use for their all inclusive drinks at the bar.
- You have to choose between having breakfast at 7.30 to 8.30 or 9 to 10.15. Your timeslot remains the same for your entire stay unless you request a change.
- Check out is at 12pm and you cannot take advantage of any AI benefits (food, drink) after this time. I was almost refused a drink at 11.58
It wasn't what I expected, especially for a 5* hotel but if you want a no frills hotel to use for rest and sleep only, you might find it more suitable.

AMAZING HOTEL
The sun-bed reservation was great you can book where you wanted (all your stay if you wanted ) was lovely just to come down to the pool and towels there ready for you on the beds , this is a great and works well not having to get up early to get your towels on , they keep them on till 11.30 if not there they remove them . This is a great idea other hotels should follow suit on this idea works well .
Food was utterly amazing and displayed beautifully.
Aqua gym in the pool daily was such good fun
We didn’t leave till 6pm so you can book a slot to get a shower,(at no charge) this was lovely they give you a key to get a room in the hotel I was well impressed.
Will certainly return to this hotel

Fantastic stay!
Every single member of staff were so cheerful & friendly.
The breakfast spread was incredible & had pretty much everything you could want.
The pool is stunning & so nice to be able to reserve your sun lounger on the app to avoid the early morning rush.
Free cocktails daily are a nice touch too. Lunch is reasonably priced & delicious. Location is good for bars, restaurants & the beach.
Rooms/beds are very clean & there’s ice cold freshly filtered water machines on every floor.
The only negative is if you like an early night avoid the rooms facing the hotel entrance as the hotel opposite has very loud entertainment nightly between 8.30 & 10.30.
I would stay again in a heartbeat though but just ask for an inside facing room.
