MY FIRST RURAL SPA

I had never visited a rural Spa, and the truth is that the experience here has been fantastic, with very good care and great comfort. Highly recommended experience. The restaurant is very good, although the menu is short and you have to order in advance (it is a really small room and they solve it by planning the kitchen in advance) what you are going to have for lunch/dinner, the quality and preparation is exquisite. Thank you very much for the experience.

Gloomy and lifeless.

Terrible. The atmosphere was gloomy and lifeless. I believe there was only another couple staying on another floor. The spa was not operational; they explained to us that it only works on weekends, but this information was omitted on the page we booked and on their website.
The room was not ventilated, nor was it very clean. It is as if it had been cleaned months ago and then closed.
The town is ghostly; there is nothing, just a bar, and it is lamentable.

Dismiss in the middle of nowhere

We left the Morendal with a lot of sorrow and with the feeling that it is a place with a lot of potential but very poorly run. The place is beautiful, it is careful to detail, the decoration is thorough... however, all that detail does not match the way to run the place:
1) We had to wait a while until we were received, and calling by phone. If there is no 24-hour reception, at least you will be contacted in advance asking what time we will arrive.
2) The available list of restaurants was outdated, several closed or on vacation. They told us that at the village bar they would feed us, but when we went they told us they could not.
3) On booking they said they have Restaurant Service. All day there was no one in the lodging, and that restaurant was never opened, so we ran out of dinner.
4) When we entered breakfast, the dining room had several tables uncollected, giving a very bad feeling, the responsible was in reception and until we entered breakfast did not go to the dining room.
5) Breakfast was very scarce and not very good quality. They didn't even offer us any more bread, and that we touched two little slices of toast. Offering another slice of bread I don't think is something that triggers the local budget. The industrial biscuit they were offering was hard.
6) The Spa was the best thing about the experience, although 45 minutes is scarce. We were offered few hours available but we didn't see anyone else.
7) The bathrobes they provided us were crying out for retirement. They were frayed and pretty rough. One of them had brown spots. When we went downstairs to ask to be changed, the girl told us that “they were normal washing machine stains.” I've always thought washing machines cleaned and didn't stain, but you know they didn't. After insisting again, they changed it for us.
In short, a beautiful site with a lot of potential, but run by a person who does not want to neglect guests or be as detailed as the decor of the space itself. Too bad!

Good but not clear

Rooms and ambient are calm, roomy, clean and cozy.
It has been very easy to get there. Little and chatty village.
But the service included or not it is not clear and spa is quite expensive for 45 min.
Website doesn’t tell details about services and prices.

a nice house with few rooms in a small town

Very tight prices, very nice rooms, and a restaurant that exceeds what you expect to find in this small little hotel.
The hotel assistants were very willing and extremely friendly; They made the 3 days we were visiting the area very pleasant

Very good location
