I felt like I was at my grandmother's house

It is a simple hotel, but it had everything necessary. I have felt like I was at my grandmother's house. Kind staff at the reception. Impeccable cleanliness. It is perfect for going to the airport

El fuente

Ate at restaurant el fuente recently as one of our party is gluten intolerant and their menu catered well for them. The owner took the trouble to explain the dishes available which was very helpful. The menu was varied and reasonably priced and food tasty. Can be a little bit crowded at times with tables close together but not too much of an issue.!!

Family Hotel with best service at a good rate

On a late arrival we booked into this hotel just 5 minutes from the airport. We were greeted by Jose, who I later discovered was the son of the owner and brother of the daytime receptionist. He checked us in and showed us to a modest but comfortable room. We went back downstairs to have some dinner. Jose was there serving tables. Even though he had little English he explained the dinner menu and used his phone as a translator, all the time chatting to other diners and passers by.
He was smiling, running from here to there, serving, clearing tables both inside and out all on his own. As we finished I went inside to pay the bill, Jose was finally having his dinner at about 11pm. I offered to wait but he said “Manana”, (pronounced manyarna,) meaning pay in the morning. So in the morning we went down to a very full breakfast room and all outside tables were taken. So we sat inside in a quiet corner and presently Jose came over and took an order. It was then I noticed that there was only him and Jose #1 (papa) preparing breakfasts and serving about 40 people. Jose #1 was behind the bar doing the coffee and drinks and Jose #2 was doing the cooking/toasting/slicing jamon (ham) and both serving and clearing tables. He did not say much, but just smiled and yelled orders to Jose #1. They were a great team and had obviously been doing this caper for many years.

Cheap and near the airport

Needed somewhere near the airport. Food and drink was good and very cheap. The manager was friendly and so was the waitress. The room was basic and dark. Beds were rattlely. Handy for the airport. Cheap and cheerful.

Better Value Elsewhere

Great location and that is about it. The lady who checked me in spoke English, after that I was on my own. Twice I got locked out (once in the afternoon and once at night) when the person in charge left the hotel to drink coffee with a friend over the street. Extemely noisy internally although no external noise. The room was small, dark, noisy and next to the stairs. The tv did not work and there was no wifi.
