Good location and easy to find.

We got a quiet, but not very big, room at the back side.
Good beds and bathroom. Air conditioning didn’t work properly. Some dust between the walls and floor. All right breakfast. Lots of free parking on the street outside the hotel.
We think the hotel was a bit overprized.

On The Decline

Fairly convenient position, good for parking and inexpensive but that is where the good news ends.
The hotel is in need of a radical update and refurbishment, the public areas are run down with wallpaper hanging off in the corridors and a general air of decline throughout.
Our room was basic to say the least, set high in the roof area with 1970s furniture and one Velux window set high in the roof with a blind that didn’t work. The bedside light fittings were loose and the room keys go back to 1970s plastic hole punch variety. Strangely the normal room area that is ignored, the bathroom, was in excellent condition.
OK for a nights stay but that’s about it. Come on Sercotel try a bit of investment before it is too late.

Pictures look great but very dissapointing when you get there...

Stayed overnight in Arunjuez during easter. The hotel looks great inthe pictures but it is a bit depressing in person. We arrived and were initially given a room that smelled of smoke and had broken lights hanging off the wall. We asked for another room and were relocated. The staff are very nice but the plance was last updated in the 1980's by the looks of it. Breakfast was horrible and limited. The hotel is well located but for way we paid I was expecting something a bit better. More like a 1 or 2 star hotel.

Dirty

Stayed here for 6 days from 30th December to 5 January as my in-laws live in Aranjuez and a 2 bed apt is too small for 6 people. We have two young boys. The entrance to the hotel and mats were dirty and the bin outside was always full. There were three single beds for four people so we had to ask for another bed, which we were given. After 1 night we had some issues: room was dirty,.ie., there was dust everywhere, dust bunnies and some peanuts under the furniture, there were hairs on the bathroom wall and one of the windows was broken so we made a complaint at reception. They wanted to know why we hadn't complained earlier! They told us at 13:00 to come back at 14:00 to move our things. We called at 14:00 to make sure it was okay to go and they said to come at 15:00. We were due to have dinner so we said we'd like to go then at 16:00 and they said no, to come at 15:00 They changed our room so now we had 2 singles and a double sofa bed which was comfortable. However, the phone didn't work, there was no ventilation in the bathroom and the lights inside the doorway didn't work. They must never clean the stairs. There was 4 flights of stairs which we preferred to take as the lift was also dirty. The two pieces of plastic that I saw on the stairs on the first day were still there on the sixth. The only positive thing I could say about this hotel is that there was no shortage of towels and if you put the sign out they would clean the room daily. No one greeted us any day on the way in or out so I was surprised when I heard someone say good day on the fourth day. This turned to be Albaro who was very pleasant and helpful. This is a three star hotel and I don't see how they got three stars. The website states that the rooms are soundproofed. They're not. When you were in the bathroom you could hear everything in the room next door. The bathroom was also very small. When sitting on the toilet your knees were up against the bidet and you had to navigate these to get into the shower. We go to Aranjuez annually and we won't be staying here again or recommending it.

Budget hotel

No frills. Cheap clean hotel. Close to centre. Bathroom needed some redecorating. Basic buffet breakfast (ham, cheese, toast, jam etc). Proprietors were really charming and helpful. Near to some great restaurants.

Very good location
