Very good

On our way to our vacation destination in the south, we stopped for a night in Ávila, specifically at this hotel.
Clean, comfortable, quiet, spacious family room…

I do not recommend it

We were at this hotel a couple of years ago and everything was perfect, but this time it was not like that, there was a lot of dirt on the floor, everything full of long hairs all over the room, even in the shower, dust on the furniture, paint marks and chips all over the walls, empty minibar, no coffee maker, and the size of the room was claustrophobic

three and a half stars.

Despite its excellent location and breakfast, I don't give it 4 stars because the room didn't deserve them.

When we arrived, the man on reception said that I had booked two rooms..one at 400 plus euros and the other at 360 euros!! I had in fact booked one room for 95 euros. I was able to show the booking on my phone but he was still adamant that I had booked 2 rooms and was quite abrasive. He eventually accepted it but did not tell us about breakfast times, etc. There was no information on the room at all. Also, no water. No coffee making facilities...what you would expect in a 4star hotel. No minibar. Hotels.com sent us an email telling us breakfast was until 11.30am so we arrived at 11.02 to be told that breakfast was finished. Fortunately, a very kind waiter told us to sit down and he got us some food. Not as good as we expected .

Well located and large room

Ideally located for visiting the city, in the tourist area just 60 meters from the cathedral, yet in a very quiet area.
Spacious room.
Impeccable cleanliness.
Regarding the breakfast, it is good but there are some shortcomings with the scrambled eggs that seemed to be swimming a bit in water, some fruits not very ripe, and some slices of bread a bit dry.
But nothing that is a dealbreaker.
Could have received a 5/5, but the lack of smiles at the reception and during breakfast deducts a point from the rating.
Also, there is paid parking nearby, but it is expensive (over €50 for 2 nights).
