Lovely hotel on the outskirts of the city
We arrived at ABBA Garden hotel at approximately 11am and received a warm welcome. Our room was not ready but we were able to leave our suitcases and go off for the afternoon into town. The hotel is about 15-20min walk from the metro downhill, but on the way back we took a taxi due to the heat and incline (uphill). When we arrived back we gained access to a lovely big family room with a balcony overlooking the pool. The pool was lovely and big, ideal for a late afternoon/early evening dip. The sun loungers were comfortable and there was plenty of sun and shade depending on your preference. In the evening we ate at the hotel due to the heat and location being on the outskirts of the city. The restaurant on site was lovely and the food great value for money. The menu had something for everyone. I really liked this hotel and would consider using it again.

The pool was green in the middle of July
The room was spacious, the breakfast was very good, the food was average, and the pool was green; we chose the hotel for the pool and we didn't get in because it was in a pitiful state.

Worst service – monotonous breakfasts.
The hotel is pleasant and the reception staff are fantastic—polite and always eager to help. However, the bar service is a disaster; they forget orders and show a complete disregard for everything and everyone. They bring the wrong items. Even if you go to the bar yourself to place an order, the wait time is at least 30 minutes, despite there not being a single other person there. The rooms and bathrooms are fine. At breakfast, if something ran out, the wait for it to be replenished was at least 30 minutes.

Avoid at all costs
Honestly the worst hotel I have ever stayed at, the food was absolutely horrendous. The staff are probably the rudest, miserable lot of people I have ever met in my life, especially the bald man. Air con was faulty the whole trip. Security guard on the door is unfriendly. The service is the worst I have ever experienced in my whole life.

This hotel is very comfortable, the breakfast is fantastic and it is well located in the city of Barcelona. We definitely come back again.
