Fabulous Stay in #21

Although they had emailed me with check-in instructions, a lovely lady (Ms. Loida) was waiting in the lobby to assist us.
There is an elevator up to the apartment which was helpful. The flat was sparkling clean and there was every single thing one would need in there:- kettle, microwave, toaster, stove, coffee maker (2 types) iron + board, hairdryer - everything!
The location is fantastic! Just a 5 minute walk from Placa de Catalunya, so we took the Aerobus and just walked from there. There's a lovely cafe opposite the building entrance where we had a couple of breakfasts, but there's loads of other cafes and restaurants nearby. The main road at the end is just one small block from La Rambla and the Cathedral is also a short walk away. We had a wonderful stay!

Not recommended

Great location and in the bathroom there is the bidet and here stop the positive things. Old, broken and dirty furniture. I was afraid to sit on the couch because of the dust, the upholstery of the chairs was all broken and let alone the kitchen cabinets and the bathroom mold. Experience not to be repeated.

Spacious and great location

Amazing location, very central
Spacious, clean, good privacy, apartment has character
Comfy beds, good heating and air con, fast Wi-Fi
Only bit we didn’t like is noise from the street woke us up a few times during the night but that is the con of a central location and to be expected
Coffee shop opposite is fabulous
Pay in euros not your own currency for cheapest rate

Not recommended at all.

We arrived an hour early (1100 instead of 1200) but luckily an agent was just leaving and let us into the apartment so we could leave our bags.
My initial thought was OMG what is this ?
The apartment had obviously not been cleaned at this time but it is tiny, dated and not particularly nice.
We arranged to go back at 1300 (an hour later than the 1200 check in). We got back at 1400 and it had still not been cleaned. The furniture is old and dated including the tv and utensils knives, forks, plates etc are lacking.
We left and booked alternative accommodation (at roughly the same price) at Negresco Princess Hotel. Google both for a comparison.
This is the first and only bad review I have left in years. Not a good experience and St Jordi is certainly not comparable pound for pound to Negresco Princess. Lesson learned.
I would not recommend this to anyone at this price as far better accommodation can be found at the same price.

Perfect Location

Right in the heart of the Gothic Quarter, this apartment was clean, reasonably priced, and well equipped. So happy we found this place. So close to everything with a real cool balcony and lots of room to unwind. About a two minute walk to Placa Catalunya, the Ramblas and all the narrow streets to wander around in. Loved it and would definitely go back here.
