THE WORST SERVICE EVER!!!
Worst ever customer service. The receptionist told me he is the owner! They canceled my reservation for no reason. Not answering to my WhatsApp message or calls for a whole day!! Very bad service. Never recommend this to anyone. Even tried to shout on me.

Don’t be fooled by the photos of Booking or its website, the reality is quite different.
I made the reservation well in advance, I only needed to sleep one night to do some exams in the morning at the Polytechnic University of Barcelona.
The hostel is pretty ugly, nothing to do with the others at BESTPRICE. I called a day earlier to say that I would be late, but no one was picking up my phone. When I arrived, the person in charge of reception, had doubts that he had rooms available... I showed him my reservation and yet he made faces and you let out sighs doing not with your head.
You could tell that he had some difficulty with Spanish and English, but grimacing, he doesn't beat anyone.
He finally put me in a room. Ah! The rooms have no bathroom, none. They are shared bathrooms and are not clean. I went to tell the person who was at reception and he replied that that was a cheap hostel, that things were according to the price. Their logic is not mine, but I had no choice but to go downstairs to buy bleach and clean the bathroom myself, before showering.
When I went to bed to see if I rested, the doors and a loud noise of a machine began, apart from that, the room was freezing. Again I tried to talk to the front desk person who reminded me again that it was a cheap hostel (€100) and that I should have taken a better hotel, that the machine was next to my window and that he could do nothing (it was an old, giant air conditioning machine. I leave picture). At that moment I told him that his logic would lead his bosses to ruin and his answers and lack of attitude only worsened the instance in the hostel.
He told me in a threatening tone that he would talk to the bosses, that he did not want to be there and have to hear complaints, let alone solve anything. I'm in check. But I had to at least be able to get some rest before I got up at 6:30.
I ordered a heater because the air heat pump wasn't working, the guy told me it wasn't cold... but in the end, between faces and grimaces he lent me a heater.
During the night, there is no one in reception, the doors have no security, people travel throughout the night and slam non-stop. It's not a place for women to rest or go alone.
In the morning I was very tired, but with many to leave that place.
It has been more than a bad experience, it has been unsafe, without a minimum of attention that a hostel demands.
There are many hostels in Barcelona, for the same price and with better quality and human values.
