Central, safe and clean- but basic.
Basic means no hair dryer, no chair, no wardrobe, no iron, no fridge, etc - it really is a bed, bedside tables and a small drawer unit with a blanket stored, but as a safe clean place to sleep it worked. We liked having reception there 24 hours, and leaving our key with them for safety. The staff were delightfully friendly.

Strange place
We got quite clear associations to a decommissioned cathedral/religious place when we got into the very special building. Large heavy, old and wooden doors with twisted cuts. . Very very high to the ceiling and clinker with religious symbols. There was a cross hanging around. But high up like it was a church place. The "room" we had booked had no windows and was very small. I immediately got associations to a monkey cell. Which turned out to have been because when I asked the receptionist what the history of this building was, I was confirmed that it had been a residence for the monks / priests. It alone is exciting enough, if that is what you want. The beds were good enough and the mattresses comfortable, but there was a single blanket for each and I could not get delivered an extra although I usually freeze at night (even though the air conditioning is turned off) there was no electric kettle and the monastery - I mean the hotel - had no coffee machine. So morning coffee we had to drop. There was absolutely no coziness some places but in return I think there was ok nice and clean and the monastery / hotel was really good. The toilet and bath had to be shared with others and there was quite a lot of noise. Because when people came and went they had no key (it had to be laid at the receptionist) so they had to call when they were going in again and the buzz tone we could clearly hear. It is not a place that is intended for stay and cozy but a place that is intended to sleep - when you have been on sightseeing. And sleep is meant for those who can sleep well anywhere - even in a cold cell with only a single blanket and with lots of noise from doors and voices outside. The price is far too high for such a modest stay. However, it is not every day that you experience sleeping in an abandoned monastery. And it is - everything else just - also an experience.

Great location
About the cleanliness, all very well, and despite being in a very busy place is not something that bothers for a good sleep.
I'd definitely go back to this place.
