A special home

Wonderful apartment in the heart of Barcelona maintaining tranquility and elegance. Staff very kind and helpful, a real gem. Clean and well cared for in every detail. A unique place where we will definitely return every time we return to Barcelona.

The Not so Superior appartment

We arrived late in the evening and were looking forward to staying at this property as it looked so nice in the photos..However, It was filthy dirty, especially around the floors, it smelt of damp and the property was not secure. The pation door was cracked right across one pain and the lock was a peice of loose fitting wood between the sliding panels! The property was in dire need of redecoration. The washing machine was obviously leaking and the bed was a fold up camping style affair. The roof space was flthy with dog ends and bits of old rotten timber and any outside furniture was sparse at best. I was unable to post a review on Booking.com as we refused to stay in the property for even one night. We found alternative hotel accomodation the same night and moved out. We managed to speak to the property owner, who in conjunction with Booking.com gave us a full refund. Such a shame as with a bit of TLC this could be a nice appartment.

ATTENTION Arnaque! A fuir absolument!

Nous avons réservé et payé cet appartement sur Booking.com. La veille du départ, on nous demande encore de confirmer l’heure d’arrivée (18h) et on nous dit que nous avons fait un très bon choix. Le jour d’arrivé nous sommes à l’heure mais personne n’est là pour nous accueillir. Ce n’est qu’1h30 plus tard que quelqu’un est arrivé et à ce moment là, on nous dit qu’il y a eu un problème avec la réservation (overbooking). On nous propose alors un autre appartement à l’autre bout de la ville. Après quelques minutes de discution, on s’apercoit très vite que ce n’est pas la première fois qu’ils font cela. Ils ont l’habitude et savent très bien qu’ils ne risquent rien. S’il y avait eu un overbooking, ils auraient pu nous prévenir à l’avance. C’est une ARNAQUE! Sachant qu’il est déjà tard, ils essaient de vous mettre la pression et sans doute que certaine personne acceptent leur autre offre d’appartement. Alors un conseil, ne réservez pas cet appartement ou vous le regretterez!!
