The visit became even more special thanks to Mimo, the daughter of the husband of the renowned dancer who now manages the venue. She welcomed us with extraordinary generosity and heartfelt hospitality. We owe this wonderful experience to the hotel’s owner, Dr. Haytham, whose long-standing friendship with her made this memorable encounter possible, adding the warmth of genuine human connection to the beauty of Spanish art.

Numerous issues with hotel which resulted in us leaving the hotel early. Air Conditioning did not work well and room was very warm and humid. A lot of police activity in the park across the street along with noise from crowds in the park. After discussing these issues with the hotel, the hotel manager agreed to refund me but then denied the refund after I paid for another hotel and checked out.

The room was excellent and clean (you could actually smell the bedding with washing detergent which I loved it was so fresh!)
The staff were amazing, giving pool towels and iron and also really helpful with the area and where to go. We stayed for Primavera and liked the location as we got to explore a nice part of the city surrounded but nice bars, restaurants and breakfast spots. It can be loud at night with people on the streets but your given ear plugs to help as the hotel can’t control the area outside. Pool was small however we always had it to ourselves when wanting to use it!

The only disadvantage to this hotel is its location.
We realised when we arrived it was in an area of Barcelona which is not the best. Quite a criminal area, which is a shame, because there were two other hotels we noticed in the same area too, and they looked just as good.
Can’t fault the hotel itself, but it loses a star for the area, I’m afraid.

-clean room/has balcony
-friendly staff
-close to la rambla, boqueria
-located right in front of a park, it could get loud at night. it didn’t bother me but they give you earplugs
-no fridge in the room 😱
-the area is a little ghetto, taxi driver told us to be careful because locals are always looking for target. but i felt pretty safe
-overall it was good for the price!
