Excellent
We rented through Booking.com, there were difficulties in the building, independent of the apartment. Booking did nothing, they did not want to take care of a relocation. We were without electricity, water, air conditioning, etc. Mrs. Laura from Booking answered us that we could live like this for 4 days!!!! I didn't see why ask for the change. Thanks to the department administration, they found us new accommodation. They were attentive and constantly trying to provide solutions. We would really return. The apartment has an excellent location, it is central, comfortable, with lots of light. . Well-appointed . We thank Simona for her attention.

Great location
Visited with friends in June. The apartment was clean, and well presented. Was a few minures walk to the cathedral and gothic quarters. It is 4 flights up with no lift but worth it. Highly recommended.

Watch the stairs
Fabulous location in the Gothic area. Meat, clean and comfortable but we were 4 floors up with no elevator. Do not bring heavy luggage. Other than that we were thrilled with it, really close to shopping and great restaurants and the cathedral is right behind you

Great location but too noisy
We were in Barcelona for a 5 night break and thought it would be nice to stay in an apartment rather than a hotel. Ripoll were a good price but for a reason. The location is excellent just a two minute walk from the gothic quarter and close to metro stations but the noise has really spoilt the experience. There is constant drilling and banging from inside and outside of the building both my husband and i have been awake from 5.30 - 6am every morning as this is when the noise starts also it is yards away from a multi storey carpark so the car noise is constant. The carpark looks straight into the apartment but there are no curtains at the window so you either have the shutters closed and are in darkness or have them open and people using the carpark see directly into your apartment, i saw on other reviews people suggesting they need to put up cutains and i couldn't agree more, hopefully if enough people give them this feedback they will do something about it
The pictures on booking.com were a bit deceptive the apartment had no sofa as in the pictures and single beds which is disappointing as it was not a very comfy place to spend time in when we didn't want to be out and about which was the point of getting an apartment.
I would not stay here again and recommend anyone who is looking for a quiet and comfortable apartment to look elsewhere.

We got robbed
I stayed at the apartment in September 2014. I was travelling with work and had a small case with me that contained several laptops and some other electronics. The apartment was broken into whilst I was out and all the hardware was stolen. I felt extremely unsafe after this experience. The hotel manager didn't go out of there way to check in on me but did arrange to have the locks changed. I would not recommend this apartment even though its was nicely styled and in a great area. Very disappointing.
