A must-do

It was such a special experience to stay at this hotel. The room was beautiful, cozy and spacious. There is a small but well equipped kitchen, even including an oven and stove! The breakfast basket was a delight. Unfortunately we had some miscommunication via email prior to our stay in regards to the room layout, possibility to order dinner, etc. but we were able to find solutions once we got there and met Pily, a lovely lady who takes care of the property.

Thieves

First of all, this is not really a hotel. It’s an unstaffed apartment and the people are not responsive at all on WhatsApp. Second, they are extremely greedy and rude. There has been a storm in La Palma all week and no flights have been allowed in or out. We were booked to stay here for several nights but there was no way for anyone to get to the island. The hotel refused to even give us a dollar back or allow us to find another time to visit. They just basically said in a very rude, German way: "sucks for you, loser, we are keeping the thousands of dollars you send us, and it's your problem, not ours. Thanks for your money, dummy.”

Phantom Reserve

Be careful, if you have the brilliant idea of booking almost a year in advance with all the enthusiasm, as I did, and they cancel your reservation a month and a half before because the almost 300 euros that they were going to charge you seems too little and they have found someone who They are willing to pay almost three times as much, so nothing, they cancel you and that's it, but with the invaluable complicity of booking.com.
Thank you because the riffraff is never interesting.

Amazing experience!

The experience at the Punta Cumplida Lighthouse has been exceptional. We stayed four nights in August 2021, and everything was terrific. We were in the Atlantic Suite, which has views to the North and East. You will see the ocean and hear the waves crash against the rocks no matter which window you open. You can see the sea even when you are taking a shower or swimming in the pool. Breakfast is complete, delicious, and healthy. The room has a well-equipped kitchen so you can cook something at night and stare at the stars at the lighthouse. You can see the sunrise from the sea just by leaving your room and how the sun goes down from the outside area. El Faro also has a pool that allows you to swim for a while looking at the sea. One day, in the morning, while I was swimming, I saw a family of dolphins swimming right in front of the lighthouse, and we were able to contemplate them for a long time. Also, the weather is perfect because it is not very hot. In short, an unforgettable experience.
