Delightful stay in the beautiful Aigua Blava hotel outside Begur on the beautiful Costa Brava!

Outstanding 4 star hotel just outside of Begur on the Costa Brava. Magnificent setting overlooking the Aigua Blava bay!
Delicious breakfasts, lovely ambience, very comfortable accommodation, lovely L Occitane toiletries and very friendly, professional staff. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and loved the little medieval village of Begur. We will be back!

Good for families, not romantic or luxurious.

This is a great hotel for families, if you're coming to have a couples romantic holiday, I would suggest booking another hotel. The location is right next to the beautiful cove beach, we went there everyday instead of the pool. There are no walkable restaurants besides the hotel restaurant.
The pool was SO crowded with screaming children, we didn't ever use it. The pool cocktails being 15 euro was also annoying.
The cheapest room at 600 euro a night was definitely not worth it. We regretted choosing this hotel

wonderful place and people

For the seventh year running i had a glorious two week vacation at this outstanding hotel.
10/10 in every department.
the fact that some people have been visiting annually for sixty years speaks volumes.special thanks to all persons in reception and reservations including martina, laura, berta and others, and to antonio the masterful maitre'd and his team in the main restaurant for whom nothing was too much trouble.
friendliness and helpfulness from the staff is unbelievable . food quality fantastic.
we shall be returning for the 8th consecutive year next year !

Magical

We go there every year and it is a real favorite every time. The hotel is located at the end of a dead-end street, in the heart of a magnificent setting, with exceptional coves and beaches nearby. Dining on the terrace is simply magical, with a superb view and an idyllic setting. A place that we love and where we always take just as much pleasure in returning!

Beautiful view, shame about the food

A disappointing meal at this established hotel that is perhaps trading on its past reputation. The views are undoubtedly lovely, but the food was poor. Undercooked Palamos Prawns (an eye watering €48), soggy Pan Cristal, lobster ravioli luke warm and stuck to the plate and vegetable cannelloni flat with no filling, barely warm and tasteless.
It's hard to understand how the chef can get so many things so wrong.
I wrote to the hotel manager to give them a chance to respond, but sadly received an AI reply.
We won't be going back, such a shame. The 3 stars are for the view!
