NEW AND CENTRAL APARTMENT (PENTHOUSE) AT A REASONABLE PRICE
The "Eurasian Eagle-Owl" is a large penthouse apartment of 70 m2 (on the first floor) with 3-4 possible beds (the photos may be misleading as there is another "Eurasian Owl" that is not a penthouse). You enter through a shared hallway with another apartment (ground floor) and with a key, from the street. You need to climb a relatively comfortable staircase. Large living room (2 windows facing the street + one small window and very high ceilings) and kitchen with appliances in good condition (we will find a complimentary 1.5 l bottle of water and some muffins, coffee capsules for the coffee maker, tea...) and new and sufficient kitchenware (for 6), a table with 4 chairs, a sofa (bed, quite uncomfortable), TV (with channels and Rakuten) and powerful air conditioning. Spacious bathroom with new fixtures and a shower with a screen (very good water pressure and with gel and soap dispensers), well-stocked with towels, including a floor towel. The bedroom is accessed by another staircase (comfortable) that is open to the living room and has a large bed and next to it two single beds, all with nightstands and lights. By directing the air "swing" from the living room upwards, the bedroom cools down. Everything is very new and well-maintained (floors, walls, windows, blinds, lights...). Level of cleanliness and maintenance: high. Simple yet pleasant decoration. This trilogy of apartments is located in the center of Belmonte, just minutes walking from the park (where there was a small fair of products and where we had a very well-prepared and free wine tasting) and near restaurants (La Cochera, La Gata Negra, La Muralla...), supermarkets, bakeries, and the most important tourist landmarks (the collegiate church, magnificent, is a 10-minute walk and the castle is a similar distance by car). If 4 people are going, it should be understood that the bedroom is "shared" (beds separated only by a screen). In our case, it was very windy (both day and night; it seems that it is always windy in Belmonte and this reminds me of the story by Ignacio Aldecoa, I believe set in these Manchego fields titled "With the Solano Wind"). This wind made the roof (completely new) sound very intense, so it seemed like dozens of airplanes were constantly flying over the house, something that can interrupt sleep at night (although you get used to it). There is no parking, but it is easy to find nearby (and apparently safe) spots on the adjacent streets. Highly recommended.
