Hotel Marconi has a seafront location opposite Benidorm’s Poniente Beach. Its cafeteria offers excellent sea views, while the rooftop terrace and swimming pool have panoramic views of the town and the bay.

Great hotel,
We choose this hotel for it's location and wasn't disappointed, it's right opposite the beach, the staff were all really helpful, the rooms were clean and comfy, a kettle in there would of been a added bonus!
Food was plentiful and tasty
The roof top pool was a real sun trap with a great view.

Absolutely awful
I stayed at this hotel in March 2026 and absolutely loved it. We had a lovely room facing the beach. So chose this hotel for myself and my friend and her daughter who were on a visit to the uk from Australia and wanted to experience a short break in Spain. When I saw their double room and my single room I was devastated. They were both awful. I hadn’t expected a sea view but both rooms were facing a dingy little courtyard. There was no natural light at all. For my single room I had paid over 100 euros per night which was more than their individual cost. I expected to pay more as I was a single occupant but assumed that was because I was a single occupant in a double room but my room was small with a single bed. At least they had a walk in shower, mine was a tiny little shower with sliding Perspex doors. The hotel was full so unable to move rooms, not their fault. The day before I was leaving I was offered a side room but had plans to be out all day. Don’t stay in room 118 it’s horrendous.

Experience
Everything was very good and clean, but there was something that made me a little uncomfortable; one of the cleaning staff entered our room while I was showering. I had to get out of the shower and hold the door so she wouldn't open it because she was turning off my light and pushing the door to open it, even when she herself felt that I was holding the door. I would like you to improve that, but everything else was very good.

Great short stay!
After reading the reviews we were worried about staying here. Don’t be….we had a lovely stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was quite small but the beds were very comfortable and the room was cleaned every day. Location was excellent, right on the beach and 5 minutes walk from the beautiful old town. I can’t comment on the food as we ate out every day. Great hotel for a short stay. We upgraded to a sea view room, this did not disappoint.

Tell me how that vintage bathroom happened
If you are looking for an experience that combines oceanfront vacations with unexpected time travel... this hotel nails it.
Starting with the good, which there is (and deserves mention): the staff is ten, especially Tony at reception, who is basically the MVP of the place, and the cooks, who make the buffet meaningful in life. The location is another tip: you are literally on the seafront, so the views compensate for any existential crisis that the room may give you later. And speaking of compensating, the rooftop pool with solarium is a wonder... probably the place where you will forget the most in what decade you are staying. In addition, the buffet includes water and drinks, a detail that today almost seems like a revolutionary act.
Now, the... picturesque. The hotel seems to have been frozen in 1970, but not in charming vintage style, but rather “Tell me how it happened: survival edition”. Bathrooms need urgent reform; in fact, showering is a small game of chance where you try to guess if what you see is dirt or accumulated history. The bidet is an archaeological relic that could probably be in a museum, and the total absence of a fridge in the room makes you rethink basic vital decisions, like wanting to drink something cold.
Bottom line: a hotel with an amazing staff, luxurious location and common areas that save the day... but with rooms and bathrooms that have clearly been anchored in another era. Ideal if you want sun, sea and a touch of nostalgia... although maybe not so much.
