Great Value

Good, Central location; I booked a small, single room but it had a refrigerator, comfortable bed, good wifi, and strong hot water pressure in the shower, rendering this hotel Great value for the money. The friendly receptionist made checkin and checkout easy.

Original Spain at its best!

The hotel located in the very typical Spanish village, surrounded by mountains and around 20 km from the sea. So if you want to experience a real Spanish art of live without tourist, Berja would be exactly what you need. The hotel is located in the heart of the village on the small picturesque piazza with few cafes offering typical regional tapas food and tinto Veranstaltung for less than 2 euros. It was just nich sitting there and watching the locals, really amusing. The hotel is a boutique one, very cosy, clean, also concept of the typical Andalusian guest house, and the German couple who run the hotel are really great people, very friendly, nice and professional. And speak fluent English (not so offen in Spain especially in the small towns) and Spanish as well.

Friendly and helpful new owners.

The hotel is in a good location. The rooms are large and clean. The price is good. The best part of it is the owners. They are very friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. They really seem to care that everything is good for you. We had a brilliant stay and highly recommend this hotel.

Former private residence converted to comfortable hotel.

I was allocated a small single room with no window despite the fact that I was I believe the only guest.
I did not request a larger brighter room but felt it would have been a nice gesture by reception staff to upgrade me at no cost to themselves.
Dining facilities in the hotel and in the town itself are not great. There appear to be very few restaurants, and not so many bars.
There is private parking available at €9 per night, alternatively you can park free beside Mercado municipal, five minute walk away.
There really is not a lot in Berja but the surrounding Las Alpujarras mountains are spectacular.
Once again...on the subject of parking, I feel that when hotel amenities are being described on various hotel websites such as TripAdvisor etc, it should be COMPULSARY to mention whether or not parking is available.

Don't visit on Monday!

Hard to find, no parking. Restaurant closed despite requesting a meal via email ahead of arrival, then discovered the restaurants in the rest of the town are also shut on a Monday! Helpful friendly staff, lovely room but no external windows so felt confined. You can hear a pin drop (and lots of other things!) from other rooms should the hotel be full. However, if you have to stay in Berja it could be hard to find anywhere else...
