Weekend off

It is a quiet place, ideal to rest and disconnect from everything. Both Araceli and Angelica are extraordinary hosts. I've felt careful at all times.
Good quality food and more than reasonable prices. All very clean and well maintained

Excellent location and value. Good quality

We stayed in one of the rooms above the restaurant. It was clean, if a little small and the beds were very comfortable. I slept fantastically well here (which is saying something). The price is very reasonable.
One of the best things about Casa Rural was its location in the heart of the Monfrague NP which gives easy access to the best birdwatching sites. The village is busy by day, but is quiet later in the day. We would have got more out of our stay if we'd been able to speak more than a few words of Spanish.

Desconfiable y desaconsejable

Después de estar reservado y confirmada la reserva para un fin de semana, me mandan por mensaje (ni siquiera tuvieron la honradez de hacerlo por llamada) de que cancelara porque tenían otra reserva más cara.
El alojamiento se desentendió, por lo que rompió toda la planificación de nuestro viaje fotográfico para potenciar el turismo de la región.
Además de afectar a su imagen, afectarán la imagen del turismo de esta parte de Extremadura.
Lamentable la codicia de algunos.

Restaurante cerrado a partir de las 17

La casa rural no está mal, pero fuimos fuera de temporada y el restaurante estaba cerrado por la noche. Nos hubiese gustado que nos hubieran advertido antes, ya que no hay nada más abierto en la zona, y no disponen de cocina.
De haberlo sabido nos habríamos organizado de otra manera.

Bien ubicada para visitar el PN Monfragüe

Cara Rural ubicada en Villarreal de San Carlos, dentro del PN del Monfregüe, a 5mts de su centro de visitantes (está justo en frente) y en el punto de inicio de las rutas de senderismo. Las habitaciones son sencillas, con nevera y microondas disponibles en un salón común. Debajo tiene un bar de los mismo dueños donde recoger las llaves, refrescarse y picar alunas raciones para salir de un apuro. Además ahí se da el desayuno. Lo explican todo (donde recoger/dejar las llaves, clave wifi, horarios de desyuno y cena...) por folios impresos, puesto que casi no se ve al personal.
