Great hotel
Very impressed with Barcelo Illetas hotel, hard to fault really.
Allocated a lovely room on 5th floor with great sea views, email contact with Xisco was very positive and, because we celebrated 2 special occasions were treated to cava and cake on arrival and also on birthdate.
Check in was seamless, thanks to David on reception.
Checkout also seamless and nice gesture of local pastry gift on departure.
Staff were all lovely (apart from one grumpy waitress at breakfast buffet).
Another nice gesture was final of 7 night stay we were treated to complimentary wine.
Half board buffet was very good, breakfast buffet included fresh fruit, Orange juice and cava, as well as omelette station.
Dinner buffet also very good with fresh fish cooked to order, paellas and theme evenings.
One evening my watch fell over balcony onto awning 3 flights below and after a call to reception, it was returned to room within 15 minutes, very impressive!
Pool area was nice, plenty of sun loungers and pool towel exchange very easy.
Room was very comfortable and, although I was a little anxious about open bathroom setup, it was fine. Great shower, lovely big fluffy towels.
Location was good in that bus to Palma just outside the hotel but Illetas is quite hilly so not ideal for walking if mobility is an issue. Access to the sea directly from hotel but unless a very confident swimmer can be difficult.
All in all, we very happy with hotel and staff are a great asset. We would return.

A CHILLED RELAXING STAY AT THE BARCELO HOTEL,
I am not one of those silly influencers!
The Barcelo Hotel in Illetas is a great experience from start to finish
Approximately 30-40mins from the airport depending on traffic
A really warm welcome from the reception staff on arrival and who were helpful and knowledgeable with later enquiries
Our room had a seafront view with balcony, which was really delightful -each morning wakening up to the clear skies and watching the cruise ships, yachts and boats in Palma bay- Amazing!
The breakfast room and food was delightful, with plentiful options available. The chefs and cooks are meticulous in every way
The pool area and beach cove was so relaxing and well presented.
The bar staff and the option to order drinks and food from the sunloungers was fantastic
The hotel was spotlessly clean, and i really admire the professionalism off all the staff
There is a local bus service to Palma, which stops just outside the hotel with a service every 15mins or so
The surrounding area is beautiful, quiet and very relaxing
If you want somewhere to go that is cool, sophisticated, and you can chill out I would highly recommend this hotel
I have just returned home after 5 days and never felt as relaxed from a holiday ever, so I am off to rebook this hotel for another stay next year

Perfect hotel for the couple that want to enjoy a good time.

Lovely hotel and setting
We had a lovely 3 night stay here, rooms were nice and clean and staff here were excellent, service from bar and restaurant could not be faulted. Beautiful sea views from pool area. On a negative note we did not receive our welcome drink which was a minor thing and the other thing is the pool maintenance could be better as there is a fair amount of algae built up on the tiles of the pool, also pieces visible floating around in the pool, Which wasn’t the most pleasurable.
