Funky & Fine
We booked 2 nights here on Booking at the end of our lovely drive through Spain because of its beach location. It is also very convenient to the airport and the beach park and walkways just across the street are lovely. Only 20 minutes or so to drive into Barcelona. A bit of a long walk to the train but do-able.
No lift or elevator so be prepared for stairs.
As it was off season we got a great rate and a lovely room with a terrace and view of the sea. As other have said, it is basic, not fancy but a bit funky and fun. Our bed was comfortable and the room & terrace were clean They did turn the neon lights off at night.
The little bar/restaurant had good coffee and breakfast offerings we enjoyed. Typical sandwiches and bar food on the menu for beach goers. We found the staff helpful and willing to speak Spanglish with us.
We also found a yummy new place a few blocks away, Itxaso, with excellent service, wine and menu. We ate there twice.
Hotel Rodsan was a peaceful welcome after a hectic day in Barcelona.

Fatal, they're not professionals, they don't serve you, they talk to you badly, how sad
It's a hotel that doesn't care about customers because they don't do anything to make you feel good, it seems like they're doing you a favor, when they're the ones who have to survive for the customer.
First you have to pay in cash, there is no elevator and you are not notified, I have a disability and all I have managed is to give me the first floor, 0 access for, carts, chairs,.
The wifi is going VERY VERY slow and the balcony has no connection anymore.
The vide has it plugged with silicone so you can not use it.
The shower is broken, and the water comes out and soaks everything.
We have gone for 2 nights and if you are not informed of anything, If you want me to make the room you have to leave the key at reception, but since they do NOT tell you they pass the days and without cleaning, if you need towels, you have to give them dirty and they give you the clean, the toilet paper are giving it to you, when you ask it, IT IS EMBARRASSING THEY ARE RATS.
The second day on the terrace I ask for a takeaway tortilla sandwich and it says NO, WHAT A MENU!!
I say well I wait at whatever time and he tells me that ALL DAY HE WON'T HAVE TIME TO MAKE A SNACK, IT WAS 14:50 NOON.
I can't believe it,
It doesn't have air conditioning on the premises, only in the rooms, they're on the terrace and you're cooking literally, it's embarrassing.
The Parquin no public, is BLUE PAYMENT AREA.
The cleaning lady faces me why, the receptionist has told my husband that they have to clean the room, but the screaming lady tells me that whoever told me that and I tell her that in reception.
THEY DON'T HEAR ANYTHING, THEY DON'T EXPLAIN ANYTHING.
We go for a few days to rest and I have to argue with the reception, the camera and the cleaning,
They take advantage because many people are passing through, but those who were going to return I assure you that we do not return

Mediocre
Simple but beautiful hotel (original building design and painting of exterior walls, with striking colors). Very close to the beach, which is uncrowded and nice sandy. It has a parking space. Great room: clean, very spacious and very comfortable, with a stunning terrace (table, chairs and 2 hammocks) The A/C works perfectly. Perfect place to spend a quiet family holiday...
The hotel has basic facilities and is distant from the city center and the entertainment area of the beach. Food exquisite but rations scarce. Slow, very slow dining Service (from dish to dish you forget you are eating! horrible waiting, in a place without refrigeration, only a ceiling fan (in common areas do not have A/C). From Tuesday to Friday incl. they serve exactly the same menu, amazing! (on Mondays the restaurant is closed for the weekly break). Very friendly but absolutely inefficient staff!

The price is prohibitive. You must avoid it.
Hello, we spent 5 days (4 nights) in this hotel. Our first impression was negative. There are no parking spaces on site, you have to park your car in a parking lot close to the beach (if a space is available), and spaces reserved in front of the hotel are charged! The room is quite spacious but needs serious renovation (furniture under the broken sink, black spots on the floor, decorations around the mirror come off). The most disappointing thing is that at 120€/day, the cleaning is not done. The cabinet and table look like furniture from the 80s. In short, avoid... The only positive is the location near the beach. The breakfast offered is derisory... Where are the two stars?? A special mention for the staff who always remain friendly.

Terrible!
One of the worst places I have ever stayed in my life - avoid, avoid, avoid.
I am always happy as long and the room is clean and safe and the people are pleasant. Unfortunately this place does not even manage this.
The room had a 4 inch nail sticking out of the floor beside the bed with nothing to point it out! They put us in the room over the bar and the banging and crashing continued until midnight, it then started up again at 08.00.
When I asked if we could be moved I was told that they had nothing else available. At that we decide to go on the hunt for another hotel. Having tramped through all of Castelldefels we finally found another hotel and booked the room for that night. When we got back to the Rodsan the girl turned to us and said that she had spoken to her manager and miraculously another room had become available! We asked her why she couldn't have told us this when we mentioned that we would go and look for another hotel? That is when the art of the shrug came into play.
As their card machine was out of order they had asked that we pay in advance in cash for the room. In my innocence and honesty I did so. Of course there was no way that they were going to refund the money for the night we would not be staying. There was a lot of 'well it is not my fault' and 'it is the manager', when I asked to speak to the manager I was told he was off site - how convenient for him.
Please do not stay here if you have any dignity.
