Hostel in a little corner of paradise

This is my second time at this hostel with groups of 13 pilgrims. The location is exceptional with its very large terrace. There is even a horreos (Galician grain dryer) and a wash house in the courtyard. The kitchen is small but functional. The innkeepers are very friendly and welcoming.

Super garden

Comfortable beds, cloth sheets, kitchen with utensils, very nice dining room, breakfast have cookies, cereals and cast bread with jam toaster and butter or tomato and oil. The best the super garden we were lucky to have a very good day and we enjoyed it.

Things have to be qualified...

Hostel on foot of camino de santiago, but is located outside Redondela and there are only 3 bars and a supermarket.
The fairly normal breakfast, there is bimbo toast with jam and oil, orange juice, milk and cereals, lack of fruit, yogurt, ham etc.
The kitchen needed cleaning... The oven full of food thrown away, the sink with food etc, i.e. a good daily cleaning and a little tidy would not hurt at all. He deserves it.
And finally, the rather small dining room had three tables of 4 people each table. For a hostel where quite a few people come in.

Doesn't deliver what it promises

Due to my age (74 years old), I always request a lower bed and this was the ONLY hostel among the countless ones I stayed in during more than 40 days of travel, and when I made the reservation I made the request and in response dated 28.04.23 confirmed that it would accommodate our request, which unfortunately was not done.

SO GOOD

It's my second El Camino walk and twice I have stayed here. Its comfortable if bunk beds is ok with you. The room was,super warm. You can use the washing and drying machine for 5€. I did my washing on both occasions. TITO is the owner and very easy to talk to and arrange to stay. I wasn't sure what day I was going to get to Redondela and on the day, I called him and he sent me a WhatsApp msg with all the details, the code to the outside gate, the code to the main house, no problem. Breakfast is included and for a mere 25€ plus €5 for the washer/dryer. Again, a no-brained. Stay here, you will kot be disappointed, believe me.
