Another wonderful stay at this delightful family hotel

Set in a small hamlet in the countryside and run by Anna and Manuel, this beautifully restored granite family home is now a super place to stay at for a quiet and relaxing break.
Lovely garden, great and abundant breakfast, delicious supper on request and, to complement all of this, delightful hosts.
Sargadelos ceramics factory and shop nearby - well worth a visit.

Beyond expectations

We recently stayed at Casa do Mudo, it’s a beautiful Hotel in the countryside but not too remote to easily get to the beaches and local towns. It’s close to Sargadelos ceramics which is well worth a visit and a shop. The hotel serves meals using Sargadelos ceramics which is amazing. The room we had was gorgeous, comfortable beds, a sitting area and lovely bathroom. The resident dog Besos is super friendly and keeps his eye out on things going on and is on regular patrol just checking up, he’s lovely! However I have saved the best till last….the hosts here are Ana and Manuel. You couldn’t wish to meet a lovelier couple, so friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was very good, a lot of homemade items and please, please stay for dinner which is cooked by Manuel to perfection, 3 great courses, there is a wine list to choose from (extra charge) and a liqueur at the end of the meal included in the price. There is absolutely no need to leave this Hotel in the evening to go anywhere for a meal when you can stay, relax and enjoy dinner in beautiful surroundings with the most wonderful hosts. A few words and a little knowledge of Spanish will help, Ana can speak a little English, Manuel not too much but their daughter can speak English. I speak a little Spanish but it all worked out as Ana and Manuel were so patient and understanding. I thoroughly enjoyed the stay, it felt like staying with old friends. I highly recommend this Hotel, I hope to return and stay with my friends again!

Striking up to the name

They know very well, Ana and Manuel, how to deal with the client so that they leave their excellent rural hotel eager to return.
Our room was in the garden in the area opposite the main house, one of them is for accommodation with pets, spacious living room including large bed and sink, with toilet and separate shower.
Porch with good furnishings where you can enjoy the manicured garden.
First-class breakfasts, with a different tasting sponge cake every day, off the shelf.

An unforgettable experience

In few places we have felt so comfortable. It is an authentic haven of peace built from the highest qualities throughout the house. All the details of the construction are tasteful example. The breakfasts, magnificent, with a gentle ambient music very stimulating, a 10. Dinners are not to be missed, not worth leaving the house. The hosts are great professionals. The setting, haunted by mystical landscape invites you to wander aimlessly. Anyway, highly recommended to disconnect from our everyday and enter another dimension.

Peace and nature shared with owners who respect privacy as much as inform or talk, on demand.

Ana and Manuel act as a perfect regulator on demand between a scrupulous respect for privacy and whatever conversation and/or information is required, within a natural, immaculate and peaceful environment.
My analysis is mainly done as a client, although I think it is advisable to raise the focus of my opinion to a professional level. I have a Diploma in Tourism (with a T.E.A.T. degree) and, after more than 20 years of experience in hotels in Bizkaia and Madrid, I know how to recognize the merit of the work and the effort involved in treating as if I were a family, a clientele that is increasingly demanding, due to the daily subjection to stress situations . All this within a large plot, cared for with care and a cleanliness that make the stay very comfortable.
Incidentally, as a detail, we had a health problem that required hospital care and lengthened until after midnight. Ana offered us from transfers, even at untimely times, to relieving me in the emergency room so I could have dinner, or whatever I needed. Put yourself in position and assess.
