Country house in classic style with large garden in small village

The somewhat outgoing 'castle lord' Gérard receives us at the front door. We are very early for check-in but because we are the only guests the rooms are already ready, but first we get an extensive tour.
Our son got the cool room on the ground floor and we got the room on the top floor. With temperatures during the day of between 30 and 35 degrees it gets very hot in this room and you can not help but have the air conditioning on all day and night otherwise the heat in the room is not doable. Breakfast is very extensive with croissants, scrambled eggs and fresh orange juice.
The beautifully planted garden is large and equipped with sunbeds and a swimming pool. The quiet medieval village is almost a culture shock after the busy Palafrugell where we have spent the last few days. Nice to visit these contrasting locations in a row.
Within walking distance are several restaurants.
Restaurant San Tino has a cozy courtyard, but reservations are recommended because otherwise you might be placed at a table inside which is a lot less cozy. Food is fine but pretty standard, lots of grill dishes. The price is surprisingly low.
We ourselves were very charmed by restaurant Raku. The chef worked for ten years at 2 Michellin star restaurant Bo-Tic which is just down the road, but at Raku you can order a 6 course dinner during the week for € 27,50 p.p.! Very tasty and beautiful dishes.
From this location, Girona is easily accessible with the cathedral which has also been decor in Game of thrones and Figueres with the Salvador Dalí museum.

A wonderful experience

Our stay at Mas Vilosa was wonderful, Silvia and Gerard made us feel better than at home. The farmhouse is beautiful, the garden, the pool spectacular. Breakfast of 10. Every detail is handled very lovingly and that shows. We'll be back for sure!

Wonderful hosts and stay

Wonderful hosts, very helpful with restaurants, driving directions to braces and Gerona. Beautiful property with trees and garden. Delicious breakfast by the pool. We upgraded to a spacious room upstairs with a view and private bath. Very relaxing stay.

Familiar and polite attention at the same time

If you want to enjoy a place where you feel at home and with the best company possible, Más Vilosa is your option. As soon as you enter, you know that you have arrived at an exclusive, private but at the same time, familiar and close place.
You immerse yourself in a space full of history, the house dates back to 1500, with rooms full of memories from its owners.
The scrambled eggs at “Le Parisien” and their croissants “du beurre” are essential for breakfast.
It has been a privilege to enjoy the stay in this farmhouse. We recommend it 100%!!

GREAT DISCOVERY

We were there this Holy Week. There is no restaurant service, it seems like a handicap, but it is not. The experience can only be described as IMPRESSIVE... the place, the environment, the rooms... and above all the attention received by the owners. It is much more than advisable... we will return and I invite you to try it
