Great stay in spite of some small inconveniences
Lovely very comfortable hotel in a great location near all the historical sites and easy reach of many patios.
Breakfast was great and Isabel and her colleagues were always cheerful, friendly and very helpful.
The only negative was the checking in that was very slow and bureaucratic and not very welcoming . The lady who dealt with us was on her own and quite stressed. As well no effort was made to see if we could check in before 3 PM. The reception had our contact details but never bothered to get in touch .
We were also charged more than €8 for 2 small bottles of water that we genuinely thought were complimentary. Not a game changer but a bit mean from a luxury hotel.
Breakfast was great and Isabel and her colleagues were always cheerful, friendly and very helpful.

Everything we hoped for.
A great break with wonderful staff, all so polite and friendly.
The hotel is very central to the Old part of the City, but just a 5-10 minute walk to the river.
The room was great. Very clean and well equipped.
Breakfast offers a wide range of foods, all super fresh.
Would very happily come back!

I struggle to find anything good about this hotel. The lobby and breakfast area look lovely. However, we were given a room in the building across the square. Apart from paying the same, this building is far from the same standard. The door to the property does not lock and the room doors are extremely flimsy and in no way secure. The windows look straight out into a square that is heaving with tourists from 9am-5am including roudy stag dos making sleep impossible. Many are taking photos so close it feels as if they are staring in and you cannot open the curtains at all. The decor is lacking and wall paper peeling. Our room (155 - avoid at all costs) was next to the cleaners cupboard and constantly disturbed with banging. We did not have breakfast so I cannot comment but we did use the nice but unheated pool. The area is unmanned and we had to go to reception to ask for towels. Reception is always manned by several staff, but apart from the parking, they are slow to respond. We had requested a cot in our room prior to arrival but this was not provided and we had to go back to the main hotel to request this. Similarly, the following day, our room had been only half cleaned with half washed dishes in our bathroom sink and dirty towels on the floor so again we had to return to reception in the other building. On complaining about the above to recption the only said 'oh well, ask for the main building next time'. Avoid parking on site unless you are a very confident driver.

Beautiful Hotel walking distance to everything!
Submitting this review for my husband as i am the one who enjoys submitting reviews.
Beautiful hotel with the warmest and friendliest staff. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was good. Best place to stay if you want to walk. Had a lovely time, despite experiencing a national power outage the day before leaving.
I will warn you that the parking situation is very inconvenient. I paid for parking which meant a spot in the garage which was extremely tiny and narrow. My car was on the big side. I would suggest the hotel adds a valet service for guests which would make it easier for guests to have access to their vehicle for excursions further away.
The staff, was wonderful! My husband needed slippers and I need an iron and it was obtained very easy and right away. Very fast service! The rooms are cleaned everyday which I love. The room we stayed in did have a problem with the temperature of the water in the shower. Not sure if it runs throughout the hotel or just confined to our room/floor. However, the temperature of the water changes during the shower time extremely hot. I mean, you could get injured kind of hot. It also took a min or three to get back to the correct temperature. Experienced this during every shower and so did my husband. A total of 16 showers?
Breakfast was also wonderful with enough space for everyone without feeling cramped. We did not try dinner at the restaurant but there are lovely courtyards to sit in and just have tea or coffee or a drink.
Close to so much! You can walk to restaurants, sights, and shopping. The streets are narrow so be alert for vehicles popping up frequently. You don't always hear the cars as most cars are electric.
I would stay here again and highly recommend.

Great location but could be better
We stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is in a fantastic location in the old town in a very lovely, quiet square.
We would have given this hotel more stars however we felt it was rather dated. The room itself needed an upgrade, the bathroom was not modern - no walk in shower - and the towels were thin. The ceilings in the common areas of the hotel were stained. Downstairs the hotei is going through a refurbishment. This however resulted in an awful lot of banging and noise disruption during our stay. Our house issues were resolved with the hotel but we would advise to check the status of building work before booking.
There was plenty of choice at breakfast and the the breakfast staff were lovely and always attentive.
