Lovely stay

We stayed in Posada del Almudi when visiting Daroca. We only stayed one night but it was very nice.We stayed opposite the main part of the hotel. It was really nice, spotlessly clean.Beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was well equipped. The main part of the hotel is very nice,it's kept in the old Spanish style with lots of wood.
We went to their bar at lunchtime and the range of tapas was amazing and all we had were delicious There is a lovely garden out the back of the hotel where we had our food and drink. There is a nice dining room as well.
We had breakfast and had a good choice of food. The lady that checked us into the hotel was very pleasant.
We would definitely go back to stay again.

REnovated, clean, modern rooms

We stayed at the Posada and since our group was large, we were set in modern, comfortable brand-new renovated apartments across the street from the old building of the pension.
Our room had AC which was not needed but nice to have.
The location was quiet.
We had breakfast on premises the next morning and the food was plentiful and varied enough.
Staff spoke better French than English which was fine with us.

Second visit

Our second time here. For us an overnight stop but Daroca deserves another day. Tourist info very helpful. Hotel very comfortable, very clean, our room was in the annex over the road. There was a lift there. Good beds, good linen, good AC. Shower curtain needs replacing.
Comfortable spacious public area downstairs. Modern decor.
We ate in the restaurant (recommended).
Breakfast was plentiful. Basic cheese and ham, croissants, toast, jam, coffee and orange juice. Smiling friendly service from the owners (I think). So reasonable compared to prices in southern Spain.

One of very few options for a comfortable night in a remote part of Spain

Don’t be fooled by the photos; you may well find, as we did, that your rooms are in fact in the very modern annexe across the street! They’re comfortable enough, though without character. Breakfast was good if simple, with plentiful fresh orange juice.
The restaurant opens at 9 and had closed before 10, perhaps for lack of custom. However there are really only tapas bars otherwise, so be prepared for that.
Old Daroca, like so many rural Spanish towns, appears to be dying; half the buildings appear to be long locked up and deserted, and the window displays of some shops appear not to have been updated since the last century.
We didn’t get to Morelia, a town within reasonable reach of Daroca, but a Spanish friend recommended it, so if you’re weighing up between the two, you might want to go there instead.

Good half way stop over en-route to Ferry ports

Stopped off overnight on 9th January 2018. Daroca just off the A23, South of Zaragoza.
The hotel we were originally staying at was unavailable and they transferred us here. Bar, reception and restaurant in the old building with the accommodation across the road in a newer build. Very nice room with everything we needed. Had a drink in the bar and then went for a wander. Daroca looks a wonderful place and we will return in summer to do some sightseeing. Sadly the bar had shut on our return to the hotel so we had to wait patiently for 9 oclock when dinner was served. Very nice meal indeed and a nice bottle of wine. Breakfast was also very acceptable.

Very good location
