Charming neighborhood and beautiful garden, but outdated accommodation and Mood unsuitable for classic travelers

The garden is very nice and the building would have potential with a refreshment. The location is nice, in a beautiful residential area and close to the Marina of Dénia.
On the other hand, we did not enjoy our stay. Mood was strange from our arrival: Welcoming the host barefoot, polite but unprofessional. The house does not correspond to the photos presented online: rooms and old facilities, far from the aesthetic image given on Booking. The air conditioning wasn't working and opening the window to try to cool the room, we were invaded by mosquitoes, which Covered our 7-month-old baby with bites.
We had requested a cot when booking, but we were accommodated on the 1st floor without elevator, which also did not make much sense as it is impractical with a stroller. Moreover, the place gives off an atmosphere of “spiritual retreat”, with meditations and collective activities (I have nothing against this type of establishment, but this should be clearly stated in the announcement to avoid confusion.
We did not feel comfortable and did not enjoy the facilities (swimming pool, garden). In our opinion, this place would be more suitable for yoga retreats or community stays, but it is not suitable for classic travelers looking for tourist accommodation for holidays.

Great.

From the entrance to the exit the stay was great. Only arriving we were attended by the owners in a very friendly way (Cafe included ) while preparing the Room.
The room had a balcony, fridge, private bathroom... and above all... Air conditioning . I didn't have any problems.
Cozy Room, Friendly Staff , quiet place to relax ...
The experience was great, I will definitely repeat.

A paradise to relax

A wonderful place! Very friendly staff, fantastically beautiful location. In the morning there is free yoga and mediation. The whole villa and the garden invite you to relax and find peace. Rooms are classically designed and embody a tasteful romance that is rarely found in all glass hotels. We look forward to coming back in the summer! :)

Very disappointed

This was booked for me by Book Retreats. As the main house was full I was put in the ground floor blue room in the garden. The room was very basic and dated with broken blinds. I had come for a retreat treat but there was no shampoo - only a nearly empty shower gel. The internet didn’t reach there and reception couldn’t help. There was no controller for the air con so it was set on a specific temperature and could only be turned on and off at the wall which meant getting in and out of bed all night. On the positive side the room was large, clean and the bed was comfortable. As a solo guest I didn’t find staff welcoming - not many smiles. I tried to do a yoga session with a teacher in the garden (when nowhere else was available). It was very noisy with people coming and going from the yurts and then when we started yoga breathing and relaxation on the mat - someone working in the garden started up what sounded like a vacuum just feet from my head. It was so inconsiderate. I thought a retreat venue would know better. Finally, the windows wouldn’t lock and as it was ground floor this made me feel vulnerable when there were lots of men around. I checked out after one night and lost my money and went home.

Very good location
