Total abandonment
We arrived at Casa Gusber in El Paso, island of La Palma, on Monday, February 5.
When we arrived at the house we realized that there was a barbecue, but there was no grill.
We traveled with two children, ages 4 and 8, and that same night one of them became ill and vomited in bed. We looked everywhere for another set of sheets to change but there were none.
The next day I tried to contact the owners, which by the way, we did not see during the entire stay, but they did not answer the phone. So, it occurred to me to send them a message informing them that a new guest would be coming the next day and we wanted to know how to proceed. I also asked them about a new set of sheets and the grill, but I didn't get a response either. Seeing that the house only had four 90-size beds, we decided to prepare one of the rooms for the third guest and then we went out to see the island.
After a while it occurred to me to contact booking.com by phone, and the girl who answered the phone, seeing that the owners were not responding, told me that she would send them an email.
At night, when we returned, we realized that they had entered the house, had installed a new bed, had left us the grill, washed the sheets and left us a note on the table reminding us that there was no laundry service, that there was Some children urinated had to be washed (by hand) and the furniture could not be moved.
And I say:
The least they could have done was show up. That's what has happened in all the houses I have rented. I don't ask them to wash my clothes, but if they know that children are coming, at least leave a set of sheets with which to change the bed... And don't expect me to wash the sheets by hand and not let them dry because, in one place so cold, there was no dryer either.
We feel abandoned, I don't recommend it at all.
