A unique place

There are not enough words to describe Desconnecta2 - this venue is definitely “one of a kind” - a truly stunning, peaceful and completely unique place to relax, celebrate or simply rest.
A fabulous team, excellent communication, warm atmosphere, breathtaking views and all designed so that everyone can enjoy it in total comfort.
It is a dream and I highly recommend it.

Beautiful hotel and location but it had an air of neglect and no visible management

When we 1st arrived at this hotel we thought wow!. The hotel is in a beautiful location with stunning countryside views, it has been well designed to take advantage of those views from the pool, dining room and to a certain extent the rooms.
However there was a general air of neglect outside of the hotel, the grounds were not being maintained properly, our terrace was full of weeds with a broken fencing and dead plants surrounding it, there were piles of dead insects at the front and back of the hotel entrance every day that didn't get cleaned up and the pool furniture was dirty.
It appeared to be run by a handful of very junior staff that though nice did not appear to be very well trained, certainly not up to the 5 star level of the hotel. We saw no evidence of a Manager for the 4 nights we stayed there, the junior staff appeared to have multiple roles.
Our room badly needed a fridge for fresh milk to make coffees, and to store cold drinks, also a room safe and a bin. The coffees were never replenished in our room despite them providing a coffee pod machine, they only left 2 coffee pods for our entire 4 night stay. There was not enough hanging space, no iron/board, scratchy towels. There were serious privacy/security issues with our hot tub terrace, there was a dead plant that had created a large gap along the border that I caught middle aged men standing next to and peering through on 3 separate occasions.
Last but not least was the appalling food. Breakfast was 19.5 euros each for a continental. They only served toast, there were no fresh bread or pastries despite there being several places to buy fresh bread in the nearby village. I had possibly the worst meal I have ever been served for lunch. We ordered the lamb cannelloni and were presented with a plate of what appeared to be (frozen) potato wedges, with one piece of cannelloni each which looked and tasted like a frozen ready meal, it certainly did not appear to be a freshly prepared dish and was very bland. I also didn't appreciate having to listen to the same Coldplay and Queen soundtracks in the restaurant and pool multiple times over. I assume these were for the staff as guests booking a stay in somewhere as remote as this hotel are not looking for noise but peace and quiet.
Summing up this hotel has the potential to be a 5 star establishment but needs new management because it appears to have been left to be run by a handful of inexperienced staff with little to no training.

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us a review. We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed the hotel’s location. Being situated at the top of a hill overlooking the reservoir and the Tentudía mountains gives us truly unique views.
We’re sorry to hear that other aspects of your stay didn’t meet your expectations. It’s true that our team is young, but they are committed to providing the best possible service to all our guests. We truly appreciate your feedback and will take your suggestions into account as we move forward, especially after a demanding summer season.

I'd repeat, but not like that

Perfect hotel to disconnect. Super quiet and relaxing. I fulfill with total expectation what we were looking for, although much to our regret, we are forced to put several "buts/suggestions".
For starters, the staff is 10, all super friendly, friendly, and serving their customers perfectly, but we do not understand how the same staff who cleans the rooms is the one who serves you breakfast or makes you checkout.
We also do not understand how they offer the Massage Service (nothing cheap) and depend on a village boy who travels to the hotel (when the boy can/will), so Availability (in covers) is very limited. We hoped that being a 5* hotel you would have Availability (in covers) on the Service quoted, or at least be informed at Checkin once the stay has started about all its services and the limitation of them.
One case in point is the lack of privacy of its rooms, and we talk specifically about ours, the Junior Suite with Whirlpool, number 1 (hence the low score we give). If we stick to the name of the hotel, we have lacked regarding the terrace of our room, that same definition, since the terrace has free access for anyone who passes by from the outside (parking, front door, hikers, suppliers...) remaining in full view while we enjoyed our terrace and its jacuzzi. Which is why it has been impossible for us to leave the towels or any belongings outside or even sleep with the door open to enjoy the fresh air of the saw in the face of the fear and uncertainty of free access to which we have been exposed.
We do not understand how the separation between room 1 and 2 SI has large hedges and scrims that give total privacy and privacy to the No2 and close access from the outside, and how they do not do the same with room No1, being the most exposed to the outside.
This complaint was forwarded to the Hotel staff obtaining in response "that I would communicate it to Management but that they would not notice it".
Without a doubt, we want and intend to repeat again, as long as we know in advance which room we will be assigned, because if we are assigned one without privacy on your terrace, unfortunately we will not carry out the reservation.
We hope you will take it as a constructive criticism/suggestion and put it to solution, as we have indicated above is a Hotel of 10.
We attach photos that show how little privacy and free access we have had, compared to the median that separated us from the No2.

Highlights of the hotel: Good views · Romantic · Quiet · High-tech
Rooms: Well equipped, with state-of-the-art bathrooms, with domotica and very spacious. Failure of the terraces with zero privacy and security.
Nearby activities: Hiking trails, visit of mountain villages, Tentudía, and good gastronomy
Security: No on the terraces of the room, being totally exposed to the outside, with easy access to it and the room, without allowing the opening of it for sleeping, ventilating or even when leaving the shower.
Pedestrian viability: Complicated, being outside the urban core and on top of a mountain, unless you like hiking.
Food and drink: Very limited menu with little variety, although very good quality in its products.
I hope and wish to take into account our complaints/suggestions and solve them.

Disappointing

Disappointing restaurant.
It's not what it was in its early days.
I think of the restaurant because it's what I know from going several times, not from the hotel, because this has already been the last straw. We made a gift experience of a menu for 2 people that cost us between 80, 85 euros, and what is our surprise that our relatives going yesterday put a menu to share, not two menus, only one, the only thing they did not share was dessert. Before we loved to eat and dine there because the place and where it is located is spectacular, and the kitchen before was worth it, but gradually it has been losing everything in quality and quantity, what I never imagined is what they did yesterday to the two people who made the gift, it was a full-blown deception.
Displeased I say we will not return and do not advise you to visit his restaurant.

Good views in the middle of nature

We spent an unforgettable weekend at Desconecta2 Hotels. The setting is simply spectacular: nature, silence and views that make you forget everything. The room was cozy, with all the thoughtful details and a very comfortable bed.
The staff was 10: close, attentive and always willing to help without weighing down. Special mention for breakfast... a delight with local produce and valley views!
We came home with the batteries charged. We will repeat without a doubt. A perfect place to disconnect from stress and reconnect with you.
