Unforgettable Experience at ABBA GIJÓN
Our experience at the ABBA Gijón hotel was simply exceptional. From the very beginning, Paloma, who organized our event - a wedding - showed a willingness and kindness that are from outside this world. Whenever a doubt arose or a minor setback, he always found an alternative that accompanied with his big smile.
In addition to his enormous professionalism, his sense of humor and his funny expression gave a special and very positive touch to the organization of the event, making everything move forward with fluidity and very good energy.
Both the maître, Bertrand, and the chef, Raul Castro, were equally attentive and friendly. The food was spectacular: a festival of flavors with a careful presentation in which every detail was paid attention. A delight for taste buds and eyesight.
All the guests told us how well organized everything had been, how great the food was and how friendly and friendly Bertrand and Paloma were; "it was a spectacular day".
The hotel has something truly magical: a privileged location and bewitching views, perfect for living unique moments. Without a doubt, we recommend both the place and the equipment that makes it all possible.

Disappointment
Minimalist reception, limited.
Upon arrival, we were unable to access the reception because two buses were blocking the passage for the rest of the day.
We had booked a more expensive sea view room than the others, and we did not expect to:
Have such a view.
Be positioned in front of a red light and an empty lot.
We will keep a bad memory of this hotel; insufficient soundproofing compared to a busy street. Incessant noise from cars and motorcycles.
I went back down to see the receptionist to inform him of our dissatisfaction regarding the insulation; he replied that it was less noisy than the rooms with a side view, without trying to satisfy us. Disillusioned staff.
It is worth noting that at night, traffic is reduced, fortunately.
Positive point: the room had comfortable bedding.
Hotel poorly located in relation to the old town, 2.5 km away.
I do not recommend this hotel, and we will not return.

Nous sommes sincèrement désolés que votre séjour n’ait pas répondu à vos attentes. Durant les dates de votre visite, l’hôtel accueillait une partie du dispositif logistique de La Vuelta Cycliste Féminine, ce qui a entraîné une occupation ponctuelle de la zone extérieure d’accès. Toutefois, l’accès au parking est resté opérationnel à tout moment.
Concernant la chambre, nous regrettons que la vue n’ait pas été à la hauteur de vos attentes. Nos chambres avec vue sur mer sont habituellement très appréciées, même si nous comprenons que chaque expérience reste subjective.
Au sujet du bruit, nous sommes désolés pour la gêne occasionnée. Nous allons revoir en interne cet aspect ainsi que la gestion effectuée par notre équipe de réception, car notre objectif est toujours de proposer des alternatives et de garantir la meilleure satisfaction possible à nos clients.
Nous prenons également note de vos commentaires concernant l’emplacement. Bien que le centre historique se situe à environ 2,5 km, de nombreux clients apprécient la promenade en bord de mer qui relie les deux zones.

Well located
Normal room, with a bathtub.
The day we went, there was an event on the terrace and we could not see it.
At the bar-pub at 8, they told us it was closed.
Regarding cleanliness, they make the bed and little more.
When we returned, there were still hairs in the bathroom in the same spot.
Very good location.

Respecto a nuestra terraza, en determinadas ocasiones puede permanecer cerrada al público por la celebración de eventos privados. Estas fechas se anuncian con antelación y pueden consultarse en nuestra página web para que todos nuestros clientes dispongan de esta información antes de su visita.
En cuanto al servicio de bar de la primera planta, su horario es hasta las 20:00 horas, antes del inicio del servicio de cenas. A partir de esa hora, nuestros clientes pueden disfrutar de la oferta gastronómica y de cafetería en nuestro restaurante abba Mia, situado en la planta baja, que además dispone de una agradable terraza cubierta y acristalada.
