Good for short stopover

This small hotel was not expensive. Breakfast was surprisingly good. Unlimited coffee, buffet style, with enough choice. Staff friendly. Room impeccably clean. Smell of bleach hit as soon as entering. Beds comfortable.
As others have commented it has a distinctly retro air. Vibes of the 70s/ 80s for me.
Noise insulation from other rooms nil. Pipework also noisy and heating controlled from reception, no no choice in the matter.
Overall, I found it quite quirky and charming for a short stay.
Ideally positioned in Guadalajara

Two stars tight in downtown Guadalajara

It is in the historic center of Guadalajara. Next to the Infantado Palace, bus station and University. Comfortable. Price adjusted 70 euros night. Breakfast worthy of mini buffet for 5 euros. Nice deal. Optimum heating. Small rooms, fitted bathroom, small TV and unstable WiFi.

Better find another place

The location is good, but it is an old hotel. Small room, tiny bathroom. Difficult to sleep with the noises of the hallway, the next room or the street. There is no sound insulation. You hear the shower in the next room, the cistern, the conversations and all (that is, all) the noises of the neighbors. I was awakened by a noise that I think was the extractor in the bathroom next door. Old towels, old sheets, old blankets (yes, blankets), old mattresses. All old and used. You cannot program the temperature of the room, with central heating. It is like 30 years ago, but with expensive prices even for this time. Better find somewhere else.

Good budget central hotel for a night

Good hotel for a couple of nights, restored old building, central without too many luxuries but very correct and the price is very good.
Basic and simple breakfast but had everything you need. The lady of the cafeteria very friendly and made you coffee as many times you will need. Very small rooms and the tiny bathroom but for a couple of days is fine.
It is certainly a good choice

Unfussy but not underwhelming

I liked it.
It also felt like the 80s or early 90s were lurking around the corner.
However...
My room was spacious.
The mattress and pillows were very comfy and dare I say, more so that in my own home.
Water pressure in the shower was good.
It was central.
I speak Spanish, so there was a little bit of banter with the reception staff.
I was being careful with the purse strings, so no breakfast or extras, I can't comment.
My reason for being in Guadalajara was to surprise some friends with a visit and to see the Easter Processions. One of the main churches / starting points was just next door. I came out of the hotel on Holy Thursday evening to find the procession all around me. No need to walk. Overall, this hotel fulfilled my needs to this leg of my trip.
There is an interesting statue at the entrance. If you know, you know.
