A Wabi Sabi Experience
Located in Hermosa just 12 miles from Santander Port we thought this would be very convenient for our last day of holiday in order to catch the Brittany ferry back to the UK.
We discovered this hotel was the result of renovating an 18th-century mansion using a Wabi Sabi aesthetic which is a Japanese philosophy, embracing the beauty of imperfection, yet encouraging appreciation for rustic simplicity. Blending old and new to create a unique look.
It was certainly different - very clean and spacious with a lovely large bedroom on the ground floor. Everything in there was great and it had a nice view from the window. I just had one problem. Although the shower room was enormous, it had the toilet within the bedroom itself with only a glazed glass panel for privacy! The hotel has eight rooms and two suites.
There is an outdoor swimming pool, a garden, free private parking around the back of the hotel, and a shared lounge.
We did not have time for breakfast but am sure it would have been delightful. Staff were very welcoming.
Situated in Hermosa, it sits in the middle of a valley and is close for visiting the Cantabrian beaches as well as offering other activities in the area.
It certainly provides environmentally friendly and comfortable accommodation.

The beautiful Posada La Lomba
We had an amazing stay at this beautiful Posada! The décor was stunning, creating such a charming and peaceful atmosphere. The room was spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean. Carmen, the owner, was absolutely wonderful—so warm and friendly. She gave us great recommendations for restaurants and answered all our questions with a smile. The breakfast was lovely, with delicious options, sweet or sour to start the day, and the location is perfect for exploring Cantabria.
I highly recommend this place, and we’ll definitely be returning. Thank you, Carmen, for your exceptional hospitality and all the helpful information you provided!

Beautiful Inn
From the outside it does not attract attention but its interior has been tastefully renovated. The rooms are clean and spotless.
There is tranquility, having breakfast, if the weather is good, on the terrace is a pleasure.
There is a restaurant right next door although it is not open every day. At the beach bar next to the pool you can order portions of cheese, cold cuts, etc. or a beer. You can also go to Solares or Lierganes, both 5 minutes away by car.
In addition, the workers are friendly people and willing to help.
I recommend it yes or yes.
