Amazing stay
Came to the caribe for the second time in a row. I came on my own with my 8 and 6 year old daughters and I have never felt so safe. From the rooms to the food bar staff restaurant staff and the entertainment everything was amazing. A massive thank you to Adrian and Paula who really took my oldest under their wing and really looked after us all, we loved it so much we are wanting to come back for a third time next year :)

Es canar lovely hotel caribe ok food boring
Stayed at the hotel Caribe for 1 week and was our first holiday without children for 20 years! The location of the hotel is good and Es canar is a beautiful little town with very friendly locals. Compared to last years Gran Canaria it was refreshing to witness some old school friendly Spanish locals. Lovely, hotel is clean and tidy, rooms are very basic. No kettles or cups but you can hire them. We found the room a little disappointing as the balcony views was poor, bathroom dated and needs refreshing, the fridge in the room had mould. But, it was cleaned daily and beds remade but I suppose there is only so much a cleaner can polish. There was a safe in the room.
The restaurant was probably our biggest problem. It was clean. That’s the good point. The bad points is this, the food is very basic, breakfast lunch and dinner we found just tasteless to be honest. Same or very similar food every day. My advice is be careful of the salads as the tuna was sour and I think it was that made me ill. Some items just tasted odd and not fresh. We ate out a lot which was an extra cost we wasn’t planning on. But the restaurants at the harbour front are lovely!!!! 10/10. Drinks in the restaurant are rubbish. Orange juice is cheap watered down orange drink, tea mugs are tiny. Just rubbish to be honest. The pool area is clean and tidy and the drinks token idea works well and leaves no cups laying around. Bar Drinks are ok and bar staff friendly. Getting sun beds is the same as usual and if not got one by 8:30 you not getting one all day. Usual towel claiming and not seeing anyone on them all day but there’s no rules on that.
We both said the same thing, lovely destination, ok hotel if you’ve got young children and not expecting to much. But for us as couple we wouldn’t bother coming back to hotel caribe or recommend. But Es canar is lovely and we will definitely be coming back.

Great hotel
Got to say for a 3* it,s one of the best hotels we have stayed, rooms are basic but clean ,view was the front of hotel but wasn't unpleasant, to the side you could see the beach . Hotel can't fault it was spotless, pool area great for any age or disability, food was really nice as well even for a picky eater like me , also it was hot fresh looking and catered for all from baby's ,vegan, gluten free .
Location was spot on in a little town with bars restaurants shops and even a beach , views were stunning and people were so friendly.
Only down fall was when you went into the hotel you was given a plastic cup token which you can exchange for a drink ,then you just take your cup back and exchange it even for the night as well.
,SO DISABLED FRIENDLY but if you need any help like wheelchair book in advance.

The property on arrival looks ok but when we got to our room it was very basic and dated. The bathroom was very tired. It’s in a good spot for amenities and near the beach.

What a great 3* hotel and I would not hesitate to stay again.
The hotel itself is very clean including the pool area, rooms were cleaned to high standard and the dining room was cleared/cleaned quickly.
Rooms are small and basic, maybe a bit dated but they have comfortable beds, clean, have a little fridge, it’s all you need. Found the aircon worked well although.
The pool area is very clean and well set out. It was very deep at the end which my children loved. They do not allow vaping/smoking which I personally liked. There are enough beds if people don’t hog them or take more than they need. The front rows go first taken by the early birds but as people come and go we were able to find beds at both 11am and one day around 2. So no need to stress about beds (we stayed last week of august so still peak season)
We liked the food and thought in the restaurants there was a good selection. There were some items that repeated especially on the snacks but you can eat in the restaurant if you want a wider choice. The kids liked getting the little ice creams through the day.
Between the breakfast sitting at ‘all inclusive’ starting at 11 there is a slight gap of time but no big deal. Drinks work on a token system which worked allowing one drink at a time, not a problem.
The staff are friendly everywhere in this hotel but the reception staff were very helpful and I really appreciated their help!
