Top quality menu for pennies

I didn't stay here but ate in the restaurant for two nights while staying nearby. The food was the best of my sixteen day trip to the Pyrenees and certainly the best value at €13.50 for the evening menu. Anything as good in Perpignan would cost you at least €40. Staff also extremely welcoming. Highly recommended (although I have seen mixed reviews of the accommodation).

Care for lice and bugs

Very bad experience the bugs in the night run through the walls and the floor... we caught lice

Don’t book!!

We needed somewhere to stay due to our car breaking down was online for 90 euros but was charged 120eu. It was the worse place I’ve stayed, also no toilet roll and the toilet smells of stagnant water. They also were smoking in the restaurant when we came down for breakfast honestly was awful

Very tired and in need of a makeover

Popped in to Spain from France for a quick shopping trip and picked Hotel L'albera as it was close to the shopping centre. Check in was quick and easy, but no Passe Sanitaire was asked for. The room was very small with twin beds and although had just been cleaned it looked grubby, however the bed was very comfy. The bathroom is probably the worse thing about it. The shower was over a 'hip bath' with no room at all to move, I found it very difficult to use as there was only about a square foot of movement. 1 shower gel sachet, not enough for a shower and 2 shampoo sachets. A great big crack in the sink. Somewhere near to our room was a person/guest who had their TV on all night and this was very disturbing and not conducive to a good night of rest. It was a very hot night and the aircon was good. The terrace outside the bar was a mess as were the tables and chairs, they could have done with a good clean. The resident cats had a bowl of food which included old fish bones which didn't look pleasant in the heat. A continental breakfast was included in the price of the room and this consisted of a coffee and a single croissant. I am aware this is a budget hotel, but I will never stay there again.

El horror

Pésimo, sucio, incomodo, para lo que ofrece es caro. Hasta las sábanas están rotas. El baño muy sucio y la cortina del pequeñísimo plato ducha está caída. No hay perchas en el armario, ni estantes, solo puertas. Ni un vaso para poder beber agua
