Lovely stay, would go back
Lovely hotel. Though we were in the suites and it's alot of go up in a lift to then walk through main pool area then up a number of steps to get to room. So ahead of booking if you have mobility issues inform hotel. We were all inclusive and the food was nice but repetitive, there's 2 restaurants with same food though smaller selection in the 2nd. Also 2 pool areas to choose from, they say no sunbed reserving but plenty of sunbeds sat empty for hours but unusable as towels were holding them and staff didn't seem to care. Drinks are good but cocktails were weak on the alcohol.
The hotel has a small shop which has plenty of variety of food, drinks etc.
The local town is a short taxi ride (hotel will call one for you and it's very quick) for around €7 and there's plenty restaurants, shops etc to choose from. Taxi ranks at each end of town. We did a day trip to the Aquarium which is brilliant. Evening entertainment at hotel isn't much but still okay, some ran by employees who are very friendly and other outside entertainment brought in. Hotel has a very open policy with the pool with some people swimming late at night.
Our room was a junior suite with king-size bed and sofa bed optional. The balcony was private and had a sea view. The room has a small fridge, kettle and microwave. Safe for additional payment.

Great week
We stayed for a week here in August, peak season!
We found the hotel in the most ideal place. We liked that the hotel wasn’t in public passing so you didn’t have randoms by the hotel at all but were close enough to other places (5 mins taxi) when wanted to go out.
Atmosphere lacked a little around the pool. Life guards very good at following the “pool rules” but spent most their time on the phones or away from station! Pool rules included no floats… no music etc. yet at 6pm when the lifeguard clocks off, it’s a free for all! we went for a midnight swim! We saw 1 person from an entertainment team the entire week. No decent evening entertainment and if there was anything on it started at 10pm…
We’re pleasantly surprised by the room. Was an Appartment (not sure we booked with that in mind) but was a pleasant surprise! Not that we used the kitchen as we were all inclusive but it was nice to have! Cleaners ignored our “do not disturb” sign on door and came in anyway… all they done was made the bed! Nothing was cleaned or new towels etc. so ignored our sign for what? Cleaning was very poor in rooms.
Staff were very kind and very helpful.
Fire alarm went off during our stay. Ourselves and another family evacuated (as presumed). Alarm continued and no more people evacuated. Other family went to reception and reception responded “I’ll tell maintenance”. Luckily it wasn’t a fire ?!
Stunning views. Some really lovely places to see the sunset. We wet and sat on the rocks around the back of the “beach bar” / sand pit and throughout enjoyed hearing the waves crash against the rocks sipping a cocktail!
Good selection of alcohol on all inclusive. Including cocktails! (Not seen everywhere) 3 drinks per person at a time it says at the bar but they don’t really care!
Food was okay. Always something to eat. Highly recommend booking in the Asian theme night! Unfortunately Mexican was booked while we were there. Breakfast in general was probably the best meal!
A really lovely week. Would for sure recommend here. Ideal place in touch of everything around it.

Would visit again
This hotel really is amazing. It was a cheap holiday but me and my partner went for 2 weeks and we really could have stayed longer. The entertainment staff are very friendly and always finding things to keep both adults and children entertained. Staff throughout the hotel are very friendly and always doing what they can to make sure you enjoy your stay. I would definitely go to this hotel again. The hotel is placed perfectly as well as you are literally minutes away from Puerto Rico and Amfi which is ideal if you are wanting a day or night out of the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel. The entertainers Nico and Javi really did make sure that we had the best time and very grateful to them both.

Marina Elite – A 4-Star Hotel? According to who... the Michelin Man?
If you've ever wondered what would happen if someone took a beautiful part of Gran Canaria and plonked a hotel from a parallel universe in the middle of it, welcome to Marina Elite.
Let's start with the food. If prison inmates saw this buffet they'd probably start a petition. The pizza somehow managed the impossible – raw in the middle and burnt around the edges. Breakfast sausages seemed to be participating in a "guess if I'm cooked" challenge, and if you're not a fan of garlic, congratulations... you're on an involuntary diet.
The hotel is built into the side of a mountain. Walking from reception to the top bar should qualify as an Olympic event. By the time you've reached the top you've burned off the calories from the slice of uncooked pizza.
Entertainment? That's a generous description. Bingo featured one ticket stretched over what felt like an entire geological era, all for the chance to win the same sad bottle of Malibu every night. More like "Mali-boo-hoo." The mini disco consisted of one bloke with a laptop who looked like he'd accidentally wandered in from an IT support desk.
The snack bar looked like someone had raided the canteen bin. Some of the food had been sitting there so long it looked like it was developing its own postcode.
The pools are nice enough... if you can actually get in them. They're far too small for the size of the hotel, and heaven forbid anyone has fun. A beach ball? Confiscated. An inflatable? Absolutely not. Even toddlers in armbands seemed to be treated like international smugglers.
The cocktails are works of fiction. One sip and your teeth begin dissolving from the sugar, yet somehow they still taste of absolutely nothing. The cola tastes like bargain-bin knock-off cola, and the lemonade is flatter than a pancake that's been run over.
Once the bar closes, the lights go out as if someone's forgotten to pay the electricity bill. We ended up playing Uno in the dark. Next time we'll bring glow-in-the-dark cards.
The highlight of the holiday? A woman we'd affectionately nicknamed "Sicky Vicky" was sick beside her sunbed. The staff apparently decided to leave it there as a historical monument until the following day.
The beach bar should have incredible views. Instead, you're treated to a lovely panorama of wasteland that looks like the set of a post-apocalyptic film.
There was building work taking place while we were there, with broken glass falling nearby as we walked to the lift. As someone interested in health and safety, that was... memorable, and not in a good way.
Our room's air conditioning blew hot air. Reception cheerfully informed us someone would fix it "tomorrow." By tomorrow we'd have evolved into raisins, so after some determined persuasion we managed to get moved.
Now for the positives, because there are some. Gran Canaria itself is stunning. Puerto Rico is brilliant, and we'd happily come back to the area.
One final warning: don't get too excited by the "glass-bottom boat." It's less Jacques Cousteau and more "tiny scratched porthole." The window was so scratched even the crabs were probably wondering what everyone was looking at.
The location saves this hotel from complete disaster, but how this is marketed as a four-star hotel is one of life's greatest unsolved mysteries. If you're after a good laugh, you'll get one. If you're after a relaxing all-inclusive holiday... pack plenty of snacks and a sense of humour.

3 Star Average Hotel
Just finishing our last stay after 10 Days here.
Location is isolated however only a 15 minute walk to Anfi, €6 taxi to Peurto Rico and plenty of other travel access to Mogan.
Atmosphere is ok, although where our room was located there was high traffic, and the smell off cigarettes and Weed was often smelt, but this comes down to people it isn’t really the hotels fault.
Pools were good, entertainment was hit and miss and not on everyday. No music was played so it was a bit odd being poolside with no music and one type of pool sport daily which lasted no more than 30 minutes.
Food was ok, for a 4 star it is not good, they are definitely a 3 star service. Food was repetitive but always found something to eat so can’t complain. Snack bar at the top pool was disgusting. I would put it down to having one staff trying to do the work of multiple and being stretched beyond his means to be able to keep on top of it. Pigeons, sticky floors partially due to other people staying not tidying up after themselves.
Room spacious and furnishing were modern. Cleaning of the room was disgraceful. Made the beds, fresh towels, and a quick flash of the mop and change the bins.
Kitchen sink flooded, with a conveniently placed bin under the u-bend. Bird poo and cigarette butts ok balcony never cleaned off. Floor has hair, dirt on corners that weren’t ours. On the last day we pulled the twin beds apart and found an accumulation of wrappers, dirt and hair underneath and also under sofa, behind the head board.
Floors were never swept. Never experienced this before.
Air con broke 3 times but was fixed everytime we reported it although hugely inconvenient.
Couldn’t keep our room on unfortunately.
Overall we enjoyed our stay mainly down to the company we came with, room was ok, food was ok but I wouldn’t book to stay here again and I really do think the 4 stars on their sign needs to be questioned.
