Good central apartments

Lovely welcome when we arrived from a friendly receptionist, who explained our room wasn’t ready, which we expected as we were early. Lockers available to store your bags at start and end of your holiday, such a good idea.
Text and phone call to let us know our room was ready. We were very happy to be given room 101, ground floor, right by the pool with its own sun beds (which to be honest had seen better days).
Room was clean and spacious, there is no heating and bedding did feel damp on one of the cooler days. I don’t like to moan but do think 1 toilet roll between cleans is stingy and two would have been nice.
Hotel are very clear on their rules and expectations of guests, so if you read their guidance you will have no problems.
One lifeguard would clean the sunbeds between use which was a great touch and all communal areas were very clean.
Our main gripe and we know it is run independently, was the bar. We only went once as the service was slow and we didn’t appreciate the eye roll when we asked for another drink. We also felt the drinks were very expensive, especially when the mixers were cheap and served in a jug.
We would definitely stay again and would recommend for a good low budget stay at the casino end.

Ok short visit in lanzarote

stayed at this property in late february with my father for 4 nights. Overall i was happy with my stay however, i probably wpuldnt return. The property is based in puerto del carmen, approx 10-15 mins drive from the airport. It is situated in the eastern part of the resort, which i would class as the quieter end of the strip, but still has bars and restuarants nearby. If you are after busier venues, it is a further walk at the opposite end of the strip. it has 2 buildings of apartment blocks, one is alot smaller where reception is based. The other larger one, has a swimming pool and cafe on site. I stayed in the larger complex which is 1 min walk up the road from reception. The rooms are what you would expect for a self catering apartment in lanzarote. Very basic, but does the job. There is wifi here, but is very poor and hardley works. Beds are not the most comfordable, or are the pillows. There is a rather old cupboard but that is,pretty much it for storage. The size of the apartment is,pretty standard compared to other places i have been too, apart from the bedroom, which i thought was on the small side. You can get a safe which cost me €20 for 4 days, but i did get €12 back when i returned the key. There is a large pool at the main complex, i didnt use it or see many people in there at the time. I used the cafe a couple of times to get drinls, it seemed ok. Cant comment on food. As others has mentioned, there is alot of rules and prohibitions at this place. When ypu arrive you get two pieces of paper explaining all the dos and donts, which i thought was rather odd. Overall i was happy with my short stay here, but wouldnt want to stay any longer. The locstion was a bit of a negative fot me. It was at the quieter end of the resort, through a few back streets from the main strip. I wouldnt recommend this place for families with children, as there is nothing for them to do. Seems better suited for older groups of friends or older couples looking for a short bresk.

Acuario Sol - December to early Jan 2026

A very clean and spacious apartment, extremely well equipped and kept spotlessly clean by the lovely cleaning staff. Towels are a little on the small side so I would bring my own next time.
Pool area is brilliant. Lots of sun loungers and kept very well. The onsite restaurant was very good the staff were very welcoming. Breakfast and lunches was really nice. Short walk to the main strip. We did ask to move apartments as the stairs an issue for a family member who is 76 on the top floor but appreciate that they were full over the Christmas/early Jan period.
We would definitely return as a couple but not with children of any age.
I would not recommend for children as they all looked so bored and was immediately told off if they attempted to play ball games. Even passing a small ball was told to leave the pool. The pool area was very quiet so I could not understand what harm they were doing? Its there holiday too ! even with both parents beside them they were told off.

Basic Apartment in a good location

Visited Acuario Sol in January 2026 with my sister, both of us older ladies. Firstly, my sister had requested a ground floor apartment which we were assigned, which we were grateful for. And the lady on reception was pleasant. The apartment was small and dark, with the bedroom tiny. We couldn't have two suitcases in the room nor could we move around it when we were both in the room. Everything was pared down.
Even the toilet paper, one roll, and no shampoo or shower gel. A tiny bar of soap on offer. And the kettle leaked badly when pouring boiling water into cups. The pool is unheated. And no towels on offer. A safe is available but it is €2.00 a day and a deposit required, only a key, so don't loose it! A long mirror would be a good asset in the apartment. The location is good and a small local supermarket is nearby. The pool area is spacious and very clean, as are the apartments. Acuario Sol offers a very basic clean apartment in a convenient area. Near the strip, a short easy walk, with its shops, bars and restaurants and the beach. We didn't use the TV but the WiFi was good.

Extremely rude and unhelpful staff

I would like to start by saying the staff, especially the female lifeguard are extremely rude and unhelpful. Our toddler was the only child staying at the hotel at the time and was not allowed to play with a ball outside OUR room and the playground is chained closed from 6pm until 10am. Which is ridiculous for young children we had to try to explain to an 1 year old that she couldn’t go to the playground although she could see it. Overall we would not return to this hotel. The management were also very rude.

Good morning. Each area has its own schedule. If you explain to your child from a young age that there are rules, it will be better for them when they're older.
Of course, you can't play with a ball in common areas, as they are for the use of all guests, and they shouldn't have to put up with children playing. Hallways aren't playgrounds; for that, there are playgrounds, parks on the street, the beach... We should try to put ourselves in their shoes and think... would I like to be sunbathing or relaxing on my terrace and have a ball run into me? It doesn't matter if the child is 1 or 10 years old, it's just as annoying.
And when they are minors, it is the parents who are responsible for their children.

Very good location
