REGRETTABLE

Old boarding house that has recently undergone a renovation on a mezzanine at 2 Gutierrez Rada Street. In our case, room no. 5 with TWO (2) double beds. As soon as we arrived, the first problem: the key they sent us didn't open the door, so we had to call them. Upon entering the room, the 2nd problem: two keys for the room door, but only ONE (1) to open the main entrance, which greatly restricted us during our stay. Since there were three of us, my son didn't have a key to the main entrance, so we couldn't make the trips around the area that we had planned to do (our son was going on his own). We mentioned it to the property by phone, and don't think they tried to get us a copy... no! They told us "that main entrance keys are very expensive." Man, don't give me that; when you have renovated a property to put it up for rent, stopping to think about the cost of a main entrance key is, to say the least, a pathetic excuse.
And now, the worst part. The windows have no blinds, single and old glazing, and the rooms have no air conditioning and not even any type of fan. West-facing, and the sun hits until 9:00 PM. A true HELL; I don't know what was worse, leaving the windows open or closed. Until 10:00 PM, it was IMPOSSIBLE to be in that room, even just to take a shower. Furthermore, at night, since it's a mezzanine (a bit lower than a second floor), if you left the windows open to be able to breathe, the noise of cars and the commotion of drunks, etc., seemed to be inside the room; it was a true nightmare. Another user has already mentioned this problem. Some of the worst days I've slept in my entire life, and I'm already of a certain age.
And finally, the water. If you want to shower around 8:00 PM, it's almost impossible; people have come up from the beach and there is no pressure, and it goes from cold to hot water, a true ordeal. My wife, with her long hair, couldn't wash it. The next morning, there was no water problem at 8:00 AM. A tourist accommodation cannot have this problem; for that, there are pressure pumps that guarantee a proper water supply for the accommodation.
Conclusion: an impressive level of neglect and lack of attention on the part of the property, which didn't make the slightest effort to try to solve even one of the problems. They didn't provide us with a second key, nor did they deign to bring us any kind of air fan, etc... I am not very demanding and I don't usually leave reviews if they aren't good, but in this case, believe me, for the sake of future users, I have decided to post one. I wouldn't wish the weekend I spent on anyone.
Once outside the establishment, I must indicate that Laredo seemed to me to be light-years away from other areas of Cantabria like Suances, Comillas, San Vicente, etc... Overcrowding, filth, excessive party atmosphere, drunks until the early hours of the morning... And I forgot... the garbage truck that collects glass at 04:00 in the morning! I thought I was dreaming, but no...
On the bright side of my trip, the El Pescador Restaurant and the Cafetería Berna, both spectacular. Next, I will give them a positive review.

SOLO SI NO ENCUENTRAS ALGO MEJOR
