A peaceful rest

The kindness and professionalism of the staff, except for some cafeteria employees, the cleanliness, the location, the good quality of the beds, the silence, the efficiency of the shower, the size of the room and the bathroom

I stayed here when my husband broke his neck in a motorbike accident and was admitted to the adjacent hospital. I initially booked two nights but extended to four as soon as I arrived and realised how bad the injury was and how long I might be needed by his side.
My Spanish is very limited but the staff were really helpful and accommodating to my situation. Despite being fully booked over the busy bank holiday weekend, they took my number and called me as soon as they had a cancellation and did everything they could to keep me in the same room and minimise any inconvenience.
The rooms are extremely spacious the beds are comfortable. There is a shower, bath, even a bidet in the bathroom, and the curtains are the proper blackout variety. Extremely reasonably priced as well.
Breakfast was €10 and was a buffet each day including a little gluten free area. (The adjoining public cafeteria also does gluten free baguettes if you ask them for a bocadillo sin gluten). There is also room service which was very reasonable I thought.
I don’t think you would stay here if you wanted to be in the city but for the hospital it could not have been more convenient.

IT MUST IMPROVE SOME ASPECTS

We booked this hotel because we were opposite the University Hospital, where we had a family surgery. We had already been there 10 years ago for the same reasons, and we thought that was phenomenal. This decade has dented some aspects of the hotel (furniture, bathrooms, etc.), which perhaps should be better maintained. Rooms are still comfortable in terms of space. What I found more negative is that, while being strict in the check-in protocol in terms of schedules (I arrived 2 hours before 14:00, and had to go to the hospital with luggage despite there were spare rooms -there were the night before and that day if you wanted to book-), they were not so strict in respecting the rest of the clients at night, especially when in some cases they are people who have spent 10 or 12 hours in the hospital taking care of someone or waiting for news. It was: a group of teenagers and pre-teens dedicated themselves until after 12:30 at night to running through the corridors, singing and screaming without anyone from the reception staff drawing their attention (and I can assure you that by the structure of the hotel from reception you could hear and suffered perfectly the noise). Of course, the parents, who had moved a little, not mu. I don’t know what the professional football team that also stayed that night at the hotel would think. Another aspect is that I clearly requested a shower on the reservation explaining that I might have mobility issues, and was assigned a bathtub, while I could hear how late arriving guests commented that they had a shower and bathtub in the room.
Recommended option to visit Leon or if you have someone in the hospital, but I think there are aspects to improve, especially when it is a 4 star.

Overrated at four stars, a nice three star hotel. Should cost less.

Good hotel, poor location.

We stayed one day. Great hotel in quite remote area from the center. Next to Leon's hospital.
