Great stay! Lovely hotel

Great stay at this hotel. The pictures on TripAdvisor are outdated and the hotel has been modernised. The lobby has plenty comfy chairs and 2 large sofas.
We were bed and breakfast and you go to hotel ipanema beach across the road for breakfast. The hotel was clean as was the pool area. There was always someone seen cleaning. There was always plenty of sunbeds around the pool and there was a lifeguard on duty. The pool was open from 10-6pm.
We had a room on the 5th floor overlooking the pool and it was really nice, modern and clean. The aircon worked well. There are 2 lifts but one appeared to be out of order so could become a bit busier at times.
The hotel is in a great location for shops and bars. All the staff at the hotel were friendly. Mostly German and Spanish spoken at the hotel.
The pool bar restaurant served pizza , fries , baguettes, sandwiches , salads etc. Was a good selection of food/snacks.
I had read In previous reviews about the noise level but we never heard any noise and we were closest to the lift. We loved our stay at Ipanema park and would definitely stay again.

⭐ Excellent human gesture from Asia ⭐

The hotel is good value for money. My brother is staying there and, unfortunately, his paperwork and mobile phone were stolen last night. At that moment, the receptionist Asia, who had already finished her shift, showed great empathy and professionalism: when she heard the situation, she lent her own personal phone so that she could communicate with me.
A gesture that demonstrates its great human quality and commitment to guests, something that makes a difference.
Thank you, Asia, for your help and kindness at such a difficult time.

No more.

It's okay for what it is, it's a little heavy having to go to the hotel across the street for half the stuff but it's okay. The views are pretty bad and there are lots of guiris smoking (even marih*ana) in the rooms, and it smells the whole hallway of pot and tobacco. When we arrived the air conditioning was not working.

Our ipanema park experience

The hotel is in a good location
Close to bars/restaurants/beach
We walk up hill but not to bad
It’s is clean inside
But the outside looks dirty
When you sit at the pool
All balcony’s have stains on the wall
The pool although they clean the bottom every night
There’s always floaters on top
I was always throwing leaves/twigs/feathers out
Also the pool could be clearer water
But it’s a good size and depth
Plenty of loungers
The pool opens at 10 am
And closes at 6 pm ( way two early )
Rooms are ok
The fridge is a waste of time
And you have to rent it
Water is 1 euro at shop 30 seconds away
They charge 1-60 euro in bar
There’s a swing park next door
Wee but if noise but nothing to complain about

Don't bother, stay at home.

Got here this afternoon. The room is filthy, the wardrobe is broken, the balcony door sticks, and the view is not good. I asked if we can switch rooms, the response was that they will send an engineer to our room. The reception staff could use a course in customer service, and (even fake) smiling. The balcony is tiny, and bo privacy as it's only separated from others by a glass panel. I can't wait to go home on Thursday. I don't know how anyone could write a good review on this hotel. Plus WiFi is extra.
