Just perfect
Excellent value for money!
The location is fantastic—just two streets from Calle Laurel and only one street from the cathedral. There’s also a lovely park nearby and a free parking area about two streets in the opposite direction.
We stayed one night in Room 06 with a private bathroom, and everything was clean and comfortable. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which was a big plus.
Also, don’t miss the tapas and pinchos in Calle Laurel—each place has its own specialty, but our favorite was La Tabola! :)

VERY RISKY (unsupervised dogs)
It's a bit of a lottery. The place is well located and cheap BUT they don't have staff and that means that if something happens you are sold.
We were assigned to the ones in the next room with a dog that they left alone at night. We don't think it's bad that they allow dogs per se, but we have the feeling that everyone goes there with a dog. The two rooms next to ours, both with dogs and if they do not have staff who can ensure the guests' rest, they cannot risk letting animals in. They have to have some type of control and measurement. The result is that we paid for a few nights that were supposed to be rest and we were enduring the constant barking of a dog that was alone in the room. Poor dog and poor us.
The best: location and they have a hair dryer
The worst: we had the feeling that it was a dog hotel, the mattress (it would need to be changed, it sank in the middle) and the noise from the street at night (that didn't really bother us much but that street has bars and restaurants). party so that those who don't know Logroño know). The terrible wifi :(

Lovely hostal in Old Town with welcoming hosts
We stayed for 1 night over Santa Semana.
Pluses:
1. Excellent location in the Old Town, walkable to everything
2. Clean, quiet, secure
3. Lots of outlets
4. Incredibly kind hoteliers!!
5. Very soft beds, rainforest showers
6. Excellent value for its price point
Minuses:
1. It's in a very old, cold building. Bring warm pajamas :)
Overall, HIGHLY recommend.

Excellent gem to find - great value in prime location
I was so happy to find this place. Traveling alone I felt lucky to stay here for a week. The room was comfortable, clean, with AC and a TV. The shared bathrooms were always clean and the showers felt great. They even included a towel. Lovely experience here from check in to check out.
Really felt at home here. And at a most excellent price and value.

Good for hikers!
We spent one night in this establishment and what a nigh it wast! I believe this establishment is best suited for hikers and no frills kind of travellers. Although the rooms are well appointed and comfortable, we felt unsettled by the lack of evacuation plans being stuck in the far end of an old building with no apparent emergency exits. I addition, the Manager had not replenished the loo rolls in the toilets which, once again, left us up the proverbial creek! Hotels.com were very helpful when we called them late at night and must have called the owner or Manager and someone came to replenish the toilets. The rooms are on a shared bathroom, toilet basis. Although the Manager was kind enough to arrange a wine tour, she rapidly turned nasty and blamed us for not being able to communicate adequately which got us in all kinds of hot water as her english language skills were very poor. I found this to be a strange statement as this facility accepts tourist bookings which mostly are from out of the country. However, the point was well taken and I am currently attending intensive Spanish lessons. Thank you for the incentive Allende!

First of all, from the Patio de San Nicolas we want to thank you for your assessment.
Also thank you for your extensive but at times fraudulent comment and is that at no time the person who made the check in put any impediment for not speaking the same language, in fact I communicate with you in the language you preferred, like with all non-Hispanic speaking clients, but the communication in your case was impossible since you did not listen, which is why we do not know ...
You showed a disgusting and incorrect behavior, trying to open doors of rooms already occupied by guests who were inside the room. You subjugated without permission the extinguisher of the corridor, that if it is mandatory by regulation in case of emergency, and you took it to your room, leaving the other guests without the use of this in case of emergency. Only for these two reasons could we have called the police and asked you to leave our accommodation, we will tell you again as we already told you in your day, and we should have done it.
Inform you that the current regulations of the government of tourism of La Rioja does not require the sample of plans of evacuation in case of fire, and that we comply in detail with it.
At all times you were provided with the necessary equipment for your accommodation as indicated by the platform through which you made the reservation, in fact, you asked for different ones and they were given at no cost.
Thanks to you for making us learn from the experience lived with you, I assure you that we will never again allow behavior like yours.
Congratulations for your Spanish classes, although we do not believe that this is the solution to your problem.
P.S. Our accommodation is perfect for hikers, in that we agree, but it is also perfect for any type of person in any area or situation in which you are at the time of lodging. Who are you trying to demean with that owner?
