This modern complex offers a range of comfortable and well-equipped apartments that are ideally situated a short walk away from the beach. For an enjoyable stay on the volcanic island of La Palma, Aparthotel El Cerrito is hard to beat.

Great apartments
We stayed a sea view apartment - the view was absolutely beautiful and I would definitely recommend this upgrade.
The pool facing ones, particularly in the lower block are in the shade most of the day and I would imagine are quite dark.
The balcony was huge with a table and chairs and we spent lovely evenings there.
The apartment itself was exceptionally spacious and was very comfortable. The self catering facilities are basic but entirely sufficient. Cleanliness was great.
The bathroom was a shower over bath but actually the shower was excellent.
Worth noting there is no lift so there are several flights of stairs to navigate if you are on level 3/4 as we were but this wasn’t a problem for us.
We were able to get late checkout until 5pm which only cost 20€ and the staff in reception are super friendly.
We walked past a number of places lower down (El Cerrito is up a slight hill - you can take the steps as a short cut or walk just down the hill to the Main Street) but we much preferred the elevated position of this complex over those lower and closer to the coast.
There are two supermarkets you can be at in minutes and the beach is a ten minute walk.
The coastal path is well maintained and makes for a lovely walk.
Echoing the previous review it is a very small town and very quiet but we had a lovely few days regardless.
Would recommend these apartments.

The apartments are really spacious, big bedroom, lounge area and balcony was big too.
The pool area and all around the apartments are clean, lovely tiles throughout.
Very clean, reception friendly.
This doesn’t affect my review but there isn’t much happening in the local area, few restaurants down the hill and a few more by the beach area.

"like at home!"
We visited all 8 Canaries several times, and last month we went @ La Palma de las Canarias aka "isla bonita" for the 3rd time! We booked 2 weeks in this resort located in Los Cancajos, as 4 years ago, where we found the same pleasant environment. A spacious, comfortable, well equipped, very clean apartment - with a large balcony and Atlantic view! Close to the picturesque capital Santa Cruz de la Palma - about 5 km, and 10'-drive from the airport! We can do everything on foot: shops, restaurants, etc. Polite, smiling, helpful, really attentive staff who speaks an honourable English! With a rental car taken from "CICAR" (150 euros/week!), we revisited this beautiful island where we will come back one day... I recommend El Cerrito warmly for couple or family visit!

Great self-catering base for the week.
Stayed one week in a spacious, clean apartment with a balcony and a great sea view. Housekeeping was every other day, staff were friendly and the apartments are close to amenities including two small supermarkets and a bus stop. A taxi from the airport was c10 euros and we took the bus to the airport when leaving for 1.50 euros each.

Travel as a couple to the island to visit it thoroughly.
It is an aparthotel very close to the airport and Santa Cruz de la Palma.
Very clean and comfortable, every other day they do cleaning of the apartment, we were on the 3rd floor and had large room, large bathroom, kitchen-diner with living room and a large terrace overlooking the pool. Very comfortable and well located. We stayed 7 nights, arrived late and the directions to occupy our apartment were very simple. It has private outdoor parking.
