Relaxed base for a holiday in north Tenerife
The Route Active Hotel is located a short distance outside Puerto de La Cruz. It is a clean, secure, relaxed and friendly hotel. The rooms are actually small apartments comprising a bedroom, shower room, kitchenette, dining and living areas. The staff are largely helpful, responsive, efficient and speak several languages. In addition to the rooms there is a gym, communal area, minimarket, gardens and outdoor swimming pool.

When I arrived, my perspective was that I was going to have a bad time.
Honestly, my feeling in this hotel was not good at all; the pool closes at 6 PM in the middle of summer, there are only four food options, and the rooms lack air conditioning, are full of bugs, the walls are all dirty, and the only good thing is the gym.

Perfect.
Very good stay at this hotel. Warm welcome upon our arrival. Very large room located right next to the pool, very pleasant. All the necessary comfort with a convenient kitchenette. With full board, we ate very well; the meals were good and plentiful. Quiet and pleasant place, we had a very good time.

THIEVES IN THE HOTEL
RUN ! THIEVES IN THIS HOTEL !!
While I left my room briefly to get a snack at the hotel, money was stolen directly from my wallet inside the room. Food that I had personally purchased was also taken.
I immediately informed the hotel staff, but they told me after verifying the camera that they could not see the room and claimed that only we had accessed the room after checking the access door and left us without any answer and without doing anything neither apologize. I find this response insufficient and concerning.
SOMEONE STEALS CLIENTS MONEY/PROPERTY AND THEY COVER IT.
After that I saw in the comments that the same thing happened to someone else in April, this is not the first time nor the last, BE CAREFUL!
A room should be a safe place while traveling but it is not there, if you plan to stay keep your money on you or the car, it is safer than in this hotel.
The cleaning staff see you leaving the rooms in the morning. They know when the room is empty and accessible, and they go inside even when the “Do Not Clean” sign is on the door.
Having my money stolen, including even the small coins, along with my travel snacks is unbelievable! Shame on you.

Quoted above. Very bad reception .room limits, no TV .no shower head no but I go on
Unable to sleep ,our room overlooks the road,we have to deal with the noise of cars motorcycles and dog .... .the shower head does not work .the TV neither .we reported ,nothing happened .meals last night!!!!!! 2 courses to choose from .we are so disappointed that we booked elsewhere at our expense of course we have been traveling for years ,and we have never seen this .....the very mediocre welcome brieffff .verichic to flee ...
