Good
It is a simple and economical hotel located in the historic center of Lucena. The single room is at a very reasonable price. To park, they have an arranged parking lot next to the hotel. It is also a good option to park for free 800 meters away walking in the area of the institutes (Montemayor Street). I did so to have more freedom when taking the car for excursions. daily. Lucena is a place of tourist interest and is very good as a base of operations to move around and see Córdoba (50 minutes), the towns of interest in the Sierra Subbética (Priego de Córdoba, Cabra, Zuheros, Iznajar, Rute...). Being a geographical center of Andalusia, other places of interest in other provinces of Andalusia are also nearby, such as Antequera (40 minutes) or Écija and Osuna (1 hour).

Between Guesthouse and Hotel.
We did not try to get there by car and had no problems parking about 6 min from the Hotel which is in the center of town. Old building without recent renovations. Board and 24-hour reception. Check in friendly and fast. Elevator. Clean room although you could see a penny behind the bidet. Very small, just enough to get sideways to bed. Wardrobe, desk table and tv with control, hung. Bathroom not too small with bathtub and bidet, correct water pressure, gel sachet and shampoo. Balcony blind and cardboard walls. Apparently and by hearing they let stay with dogs. We paid €64 for a night in double, price that does not seem like a bargain.

Dismal experience, do not recommend it
We booked this hotel through Booking because it indicated that they were pet friendly. However, upon arrival, we were informed of a rule that appeared nowhere: the pet cannot be left alone in the room at any time. This completely ruined our stay as we could not attend a dinner with friends or anywhere where pets were not allowed.
The room was in deplorable condition: dirty, full of hair on the floor, in the bathroom and under the bed, as if they hadn’t had a vacuum cleaner in months. When I asked for it to be cleaned correctly, the receptionist responded in bad ways and, instead of vacuuming as I requested, she simply passed the mop, leaving the room the same or worse. Also, the room smelled of smoke, the bed and pillows were uncomfortable, and all the furniture was very old, including television.
As if that were not enough, when entering and leaving the hotel you are obliged to leave the key at reception, according to them “for security”. This seemed like an invasion of privacy to me, as they are controlling you every time you enter and leave, which is quite uncomfortable and unnecessary.
The treatment of the staff was unacceptable. Both the lady and the man in charge were rude and high-handed throughout. Not only did they offer no apology for the problems we exposed to them, they treated us with disdain and haughtiness. Finally, we decided to leave the hotel, losing our reservation, because we could not continue in those conditions.
This hotel not only lacks transparency, but also does not meet the minimum standards of cleanliness, comfort and professionalism. An unpleasant experience that I do not recommend to anyone, especially those who travel with pets.

City centre location
Our room was small with no outlook whatsoever , it was clean as was the ensuing bathroom . The beds we found to be hard but that is a personal observation. The reception was friendly and we found the central location suitable for our need however it could be too noisy for some as there are bars very nearby. Perfectly acceptable for the one night.

Habitación de matrimonio minúscula
Hotel céntrico en Lucena, con aparcamiento concertado justo al al lado. Reservamos para un fin de semana. La habitación de matrimonio era mínima. No más de 12m2., con armario ropero, pequeña mesita y silla empotrada, y ya está. Sólo quedaba 25 cm entre el final de la cama y la pared. Sin posibilidad alguna de abrir la maleta fuera de la cama, por falta de espacio (Tampoco había mueble alguno para eso, porque no cabía). En las fotografías de las habitaciones, es la que tiene la colcha verde. No había más almohadas, por si se necesita (Y se necesitaba, por la delgadez de la que tenía la cama). Tv sólo con canales nacionales normales, ninguno internacional. Cuarto de baño minúsculo, con bañera y cortina de baño naranja fuerte, que impedía ver bien cuando usabas la ducha. Con el letrero de haber desinfectado la taza del wáter pintada en la propia tapa, no con cinta de plástico. Alguna toalla deshilachada, que daba aspecto de un poco dejado. Las paredes transmiten todos los ruidos. Lo único que salva al hotel es el inmejorable trato del personal del hotel, exquisito en su simpatía, así como su amabilidad.
