Excellent location

Excellent experience! The hostel is very well located, with easy access to everything, close to the Sun Door. The room was impeccable: clean, airy and comfortable. The service was one of the highlights, attentive staff, polite and always willing to help, especially Mrs. Ana, I felt very well received and will definitely come back. Super recomendo.

IF YOU DON'T SPEAK SPANISH DON'T RESERVE HERE

I made a last minute reservation through Booking but after a while they cancelled the reservation due to "a problem with the card". Well as I was near the hostel I went there to see I if it was possible to book directly from there.
The reservation staff was sooo bad, the woman there said us "Only Español, estamos en España (Only Spanish, we are in Spain)" and she didn't want to head anything else.
How is it possible that there are people like that working in a hostel in the center of Madrid? A place face to face with customers, in a very tourist city.

Great location!

As many hotels in Madrid is an old building. The location is great! Right to the "puerta del sol" the room is clean and confortable with a private bathroom, closet, tv and 2 window/balcony facing the puerta del sol, we can see and here all the action going on outside the puerta del sol which we love, if you can't sleep with noise, request a room that doesn't face this way, but we don't mind.
The room is all we need to slip, get clean and get going, is hat to stay indoors in Madrid, the city has too much to offer.
The staff is very friendly and we felt very safe walking in and out early in the morning and late at night.
They don't include breakfast but there is plenty of places around to eat.

A Hidden Jewel Steps Aeay from Plaza de la Puerta del Sol in the center of Madrid

A hidden hidden jewel steps away from Plaza de la Puerta del Sol in the center of Madrid. It is very close to Sol metro station, pubs, restaurants, and Apple store. The staff is friendly but felt bad since I was coming late in the early morning from the pubs and you need to be buzzed to get in. You always leave your room key before you leave. If you are an early bird, bring some ear plugs. Otherwise, you could hear the street noise and the music from the Plaza de la Puerta del Sol street performers.
