Highly suggested
Communication with the hosts was excellent, and they responded immediately to any request or question.
The only minor downside was that, due to the age of the building, you could sometimes hear voices from the neighboring apartments. Fortunately, it was never a real issue for us and didn't affect our stay.
It was definitely worth the money, and I would absolutely choose to stay here again.

Terrible customer service
We had to wait an hour and a half before someone came to clean in a hurry: about 20 minutes without even mopping the floor.
Customer service not up to the standard of a luxury structure such as Genteel claims to be: after having asked 4 times for a bit of flexibility on check out to compensate for the terrible welcome, they only deigned to respond at 9.30pm saying that it was not possible to accommodate us in any way regarding the requested late check out, much less did they think of offering us a discount for the inconvenience caused.
Really a bad experience.

Lovely New Year in Malaga
Very good location with public parking opposite so useful if you have a car.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which was very modern and spacious. The apartment was well equipped with microwave, toaster, kitchen utensils and washing machine.
The hostess was very helpful and provided information on where to visit, eat etc.
Very comfortable beds.
Two shower rooms.
Cons:
Many stairs to climb to access the apartment with no lift available.
The apartment wasn’t as clean as it could have been. The floors weren’t washed on arrival, they were dirty. We arrived early and had to wait for room to be cleaned but it didn’t smell fresh, instead it smelled of stale cigarettes.
If there was a sweeping brush, mop available, I would have cleaned it myself.
There was one pillow per person but we could have done with more. The pillows weren’t very clean and didn’t have any protectors on them ☹️.
We had an empty attic room that the children found fascinating but couldn’t use as it was dirty (full of dust).
The one bedroom was very noisy due to the side street (although the windows were shut, it sounded as though they were open).
However, despite the negatives we had a fantastic holiday and would definitely return and stay in the Genteel.
