Lovely place, nice cottages.

Beautiful small-scale, atmospheric location. Daniel and Anna are welcoming, friendly, helpful NL administrators. There are 10 cottages with separate bedroom, 1 cottage with 2 bedrooms, 1 studio around the beautiful pool with a cozy "do it yourself" bar. Near the sea. Restaurants and harbor within walking distance. Petrol pump with shop with bakery nearby.

Super nice place to discover your holiday surroundings

Had a great holiday. Beds, shower and amenities all top. Also the wifi was just fast. The new administrators are really there for you! Very motivated to offer you a carefree holiday. It is a quiet place, but on the Costa del Sol. So once outside the complex it is seeing and being seen squared. You must love that. We chose to take the car and look for the smaller places which suits us (and the description of Banus Lodge) more.

Banus lodge, a quiet and luxurious apartments in beautiful green surroundings by the sea.

Lovely stay in the villa with our family of four people. Villa has a fine layout just an upper floor with 2 bedrooms and a spacious bathroom with rain shower and 2nd toilet. We found the area authentically Spanish with buildings with Oriental influences around this complex and enormously beautiful and diverse vegetation. So many palm trees far to the beach. Go the other way to the beach for Barbillon beach club. Nice walk or rent the fine bikes from the friendly owners Anne and Daniel. Also recommended for a bike ride along the sea to Marbella.
A beautiful and well maintained small-scale holiday complex centrally located for beach and trips. The adjacent San Pedro de Alcantara offers shopping and dining opportunities. Especially the strip in front of the center on the right was crowded for dinner.

Mixed feelings about Banus Lodge

Banus Lodge certainly offers peace and quiet, which can be a plus for some. For us, however, the location was a bit too remote. The studio we stayed in was a bit dated and could use a refresher. The beach within walking distance was not quite to our taste, but fortunately we had a rental car to explore the area.
After reading other reviews, we think we are probably not the right target audience for Banus Lodge. If you are looking for a quiet place to relax and do not value modern facilities, then this might be for you. Unfortunately, it was not the perfect match for us.
