The Sanom Beach Resort didn't disappoint, the resort was clean and well presented. The staff were friendly and helpful (young girl at the bar made amazing Esspresso Martinis!!), there were a few points which I didn't think were fair to mark down on, but I'm not comfortable with adjoining rooms and all the rooms at the resort are presented in this manner, the room needed some minor repairs, one plug socket came out the wall for example and some of the pain looked in need of a touch up, and they could do with a secure room to store your case instead of behind the reception on the last day. However, overall this was a great resort and in a fantastic location.

AWFUL EXPERIENCE.

Our experience was terrible; as soon as we arrived, we were assigned a room where the air conditioning was broken, it did not provide air, and on top of that, there was a horrible noise. We mentioned it at reception, they sent a technician, and ultimately they ended up moving us to another room (normally, for the inconvenience, it would be one equal to or better than the one we were given), but NO! They gave us one of the WORST ROOMS, with a view of a wall; we were the only ones in the area, just imagine how terrible the rooms were that we got. The shower tray was shattered, the sofa was extremely dirty, and the complex itself, both the room and the common areas, were in poor condition. The pool was disgusting, full of plants, bugs, and without a lifeguard. WE WENT TO SPEND THE WEEKEND RELAXING IN THE ROOM/POOL WITHOUT LEAVING THE COMPLEX, AND IN THE END, WE ONLY WENT TO SLEEP (8:00 AM - 8:00 PM ON THE STREET). We asked for solutions, and no one provided any. We booked it through Airbnb from someone named Antonio, and that Antonio did not exist; we did not understand the management of the accommodation very well. Supposedly, we rented it from a private individual (who neither answered the phone nor responded to messages), and at reception, they told us that this man never answered, and they did not want to take responsibility since this Antonio was unresponsive. They could not provide us with explanations or solutions. THEY SAY IT HAS 4 STARS, BUT IT DOESN'T EVEN REACH 1/2 WITHOUT COMMENTS.

This hotel was very comfortable, and the ladies at the front desk were all very professional, lovely, and helpful. Highly recommended!

Amazing as usually. Nice little upgrade to a pool view. The hot tub needs work on the bubbles though

Rooms are getting very dated. Mould on shower seals etc and on grout in shower. I watched the cleaner and she was spending 7 or 8 minutes when ‘cleaning’ rooms. Floor not mopped even once during the week stay. Reception staff quite nice but slow service at the bar. It’s close to yumbo which is why I stayed but there are definitely nicer places to stay as they haven’t looked after the place well enough since the refurb of several years ago.
